I've called phone support few times and they were always polite and willing to help. Needed them to manually resolve the issue in my account ASAP and it was done while I was on the phone.

Yeah, email support is not *instant* but they get the job done fairly quickly. Can't complain.

 

Turn off all you browser based ad-blockers, AV adblocker etc.
Because UAD is collecting about 20plus different data from users, so if they detect adblocker and blocking data collecting,
well no email will come.

Once you enter email address, you have next pages to open where you have to input your personal data and it is MANDATORY to pay them 1 euro cent from your PayPal account in order they can continue with subscription after trial period ends...
That sucks, what if I forget to stop subscription, or I am not able to do that in some moment for various reasons...
That's just simple shit if you ask me...
Even though they already collect all of you private data from browser, like that is not enough they collect and your paypal data for TRIAL purpose... HELL NO!

I hope R2R will smack them ASAP!

 

i had that same problem when i first tried to download them. i just used a different browser & it worked.

No matter how good these plugins may sound!
I think there are quite a few alternatives on the market for most of their plugins.

Hi Fire Face, i've already tried all I can with all plugins I have, they indeed sound different, sometimes especially pultec and the infamous pultec trick on kicks, I prefer UAD, then with somes different kicks I prefer Waves, and IK on others really, they all sound different because they are try to clone different hardware, all eq curves are a little bit different harmonic content too. I mean UAD are not bad or very good, they are somes others options for somes situations, but to me, I'm not will use only this brand, firstly because I work with hardware and for plugins I prefer work with Kush audio. I install a lot of brand just for testing purpose and comparison as well, but for working I don't need all this mountain of plugins

 

They're collecting your payment info. Mandatory. As if the usual data wasn't bad enough. Very low indeed...

 

Yeah I agree on most of what you said! It's just something about UA Plugins that other companies don't offer like for example they don't sound distorted when pushed hard or they do but in a good way if that makes any sense ?!

Well, allow me to eat crow, I've broke down and giving the 14 day demo a try, somewhat impressed so far, they're better than I thought they would be...I've never had a chance to play around with DSP versions, but these are very light on the CPU, which is a plus one in my book, would love to see them pop up on the sister site

 

I don't know if this is right... I think my UAD is on a different email to my iLok online thing and it authorised ok... I linked accounts somehow and I'm a bit worried that I've fucked that up for an iLok stick (ordered that 3 weeks ago, still hasn't arrived so I can't test it yet. Shittest online retailer ever)
