Is there a difference in sound between the latest version of Soundtoys 5.3.8 and the old version of SoundToys v5.0.1.10839?

On sites like AZ and other similar sites they always have the old version 5.0.1 and I was wondering if the latest version or versions after 5.0.1 have any improvement in the sound quality of these plugins? Is it a matter of fixing glitches and fixing compatibility issues?

Absolutely no difference. Only bug fixes and adaptation for newer OS

Yes, audio quality is improved significantly, beyond all expectations.
You should dump dated warez version and buy (on sale $269, reg. $499) whole "rack" bundle.

No difference, just an offer for customers to beta test. I have the legit bundle, but I use the scene release because I jump between computers often. For others like me, better to stick with the scene release as sometimes parameters don't translate (or I get a warning like that) between legit and scene.

VST3 is a welcome adoption, I have seen some benefits in some plugins (like melda) which reduce cpu usage when play back is stopped or no signal is passing through it.

I'm not being funny or anything, but if you cannot get a great sound from 5.0.1 then you're definitely doing something wrong.

When I saw the title I thought they had implemented oversampling. Oh, well.

Plugins very rarely change their DSP algorithms in general. Imagine how massive a breaking change it can be if your project sounds different with 2 different versions of the same plugin.
