I just noticed that the size of library folder is mostly the same except Metal Ray. The difference between Metal Ray 3.3 and 3.6 is huge. 3.9 GB and 6.6 GB.
Other than that, mostly the same.
So, I think you don't need to download the full package every time the new version comes out. What you need is just install files. Isn't it?
Otherwise, are there any other differences?

I took notice to that as well and maybe the library doesn't change in content, but only new updated installers. Uploaders may give reason(s) as to why not upload only the installer files.

I guess so, except some of them like Metal Ray. You should check the previous version of the size of the library.

As others have said is true. I'm actually surprised the Metal Ray changed.

So true. Let alone you can download in 15 seconds some installers from the Ample Guitar web

    Hi there ;)
On a second thought. I think the Ray5 v3 library has got bigger because they added fingered samples besides the original pickup ones. Don't recall when it was.

That also happened to other AS libs during their first major version. A sample expansion adding neck pickup to the Les Paul, or like the Ray5 but with acoustic ones. Meaning adding fingered samples or to the Taylor with original pickup samples only, and so on.

Man, the size of sample is getting bigger and my hard drive is getting full. I hope some developers make physical modeled one soon like Modo Bass. Of course, there are some of them on the market, but their quality is not good enough. So, the ideal idea is Ample Sound makes it.

MetalRay got an extra 3.3GB FINGERING part in 2020 so it doubled in size.
And we all like Fingering, so you should get the bigger library :)
