One sees what one wants to see. It's actually a survival instinct. We are really good at recognising the patterns in everything. Clouds, water, coffee, smoke, fire, numbers... even poo. Hell, even street sounds. I hear music in street sounds and machine noise, water and wind. It inspires me.

agree, he reminds me of terry davis a genius developer who single handedly created an entire Operating system from scratch , he suffered severe phsycotic episodes where he claimed he was in direct communication with god and that god commanded him to create his temple on earth as an operating system and stuff like this , its an incredibly sad story and I hope aleskey get the help he needs

Hope the guy gets the help he needs or if he is highly functional and it brings him solace considering where he is maybe it's not such a bad thing. As long as he doesn't try to force everyone to see magical fairies dancing behind the veil and to kneel to them or burn at the stake, may he enjoy the determinism of his creative endeavours.

The list of truly talented people who were also schizophrenic is so long and so available that no list in a conversation like this can be comprehensive. Off the top of my mind some notable mentions, brilliant mathematicians John Nash & Isaack Newton to brilliant artists like Syd Barrett, Buddy Bolden and Phillip K. Dick.

It's not an isolated incident, all humans are partially schizophrenic, it's part of model.

I agree that if he needs help, I hope he gets it. This the same rabbit hole Newton fell into and it took him a long time to crawl back out of it.

It's not a failure of mathematics, it's a failure of physics.

Mathematics is just an abstraction tool and for the most part if you can think it you can model it we just aren't smart enough to even begin to think properly about such things at the moment. Our understanding of the cosmos as a species is rudimentary at best and mine is even less than that.

it's actually considered a failure of mathematics, a singularity is also known as "Discontinuity", in the case of physics it's an "Essential discontinuity" wich indicates the impossibility for maths to describe that particular point.

 

Many are professionally blind - lacking the connections - i.e., the view of the whole. Moreover, most of the science is bought.
