Hey. I´m starting a mix session, and I´m still learning new stuff.
I want to try using Pink Noise for leveling, I´m just curious and I´m not still used to my new monitors, so maybe the technique helps a little when starting from scratch.
I tend to use a spectrum viewer on my master channel, sometimes it´s a good complementary reference to my ears. *yes*
In this session I´m using Gliss EQ because of its detailed display... BUT I´m not getting the Pink Noise´s regular curve
Maybe I´m missing some important setting on the display, but I checked and everything is on default.
The Pink Noise was generated on Audition, so there´s nothing wrong with the sample.
Any ideas?

 

Had the same issues with Voxengo...

I just use another EQ and it's good now.

 

Voxengo FFTs like to slope the display. To undo this, click on EDIT , and reduce the slope (to 0).

 

the slope function of span is extremely useful by the way. dont just drop it if you cant be bothered to explore it *no*

 

I will explore it. For now, I just wanted an overall detailed view of what´s happening between my sounds
