impulse response is domain of time, no EQ can do that

 

Each filter generates an impulse response. That's the nature of a filter.

maybe I'm messing things up, but I always considered IR as "package" of filters throughout time

 

Take an impulse with the length of exactly one sample, apply a filter of your choice to it, and render the result. Then look at the result and marvel at the filter's impulse response.

 

It depends, are you dissatisfied with the EQ you are using now and what do you want it to do better?
I use Ableton EQ8 for basic stuff, ProQ3 for more surgical stuff and Pulsar Massive for “color”

 

I have both , if you were to keep the better one , which?
