in reaper is there any stock plugins that can make a comb filter?

    in reaper is there any stock plugins that can make a comb filter?

    Yes. You can make a comb filter with virtually any delay plugin, REAdelay included, you just need to pull the "lenght (musical)" fader all the way down and play with the "lenght (time)" fader.

    To get a comb filter effect you need a very short delay, somwhere between 0 and 15ms. You probably won't get a smooth filter sweep from the plugin's interface because it's stepped, but it'll work just fine with automation.

    i am a bit confused because comb filter is supposed to filter out frequencies right? how can readelay do that? thanks!

    The delayed signal blends with the original one and since they come at different times the phase isn't perfectly alligned and you get some cancellations (which look like a comb on an analyzer, hence the name).

    And yeah, i forgot to say it has to be a blend between the original and the delay, REAdelay does that by default, but on other plugins you might need to set the "wet" control to 50% and move around as you need.
