Addictive Drums 2 for "natural" drums.
For electronic drums, I create them myself.

Synths: hard to tell, but it's between Parawave Rapid, Kilohearts Phaseplant and VPS Avenger. This last one have many interesting possibilities, and a dedicated drum sequencer, which makes it very practical for electronic music.
It seems that Avenger is a bit under rated, maybe because their marketing is all about presets and EDM but it's a very powerful and we'll conceived synthesiser.

I see a lot of suggestions here, but they propose DIFFERENT tools instead a single one (as the topic's title requires), so these are my 2 cents:

    Hypersonic

it gives you all the tools you need just in a one bottle for ANY genre: pop, rock, hip hop, jazz and even cinematic/classical...
some sounds are outdated, but using it saves a lot of time - later you can replace any sound with sample or selfmade preset from modern synths.

Also, not bad to mention TTS - 1, that plays on the same field as Hypersonic, but more weak

PS. This track is built on Hypersonic (with exeption of trumpet from Kontakt lib):

I use Korg M1 and Triton to sketch the sounds, for drums i use Superior Drummer(replace the samples to my likeness) and after 2020 i use Atlas b4 that it was just sample browser, pretty much after that its like a blind guy in a mine field.

    Hive.

Because it's so easy to work with, yet, so versatile. The only instances I don't use it is when I need crazy wavetable stuff or a specific (analog) emulation.

I don’t really have a do-it-all-synth type workflow, but if I had to choose, I’d use Omnisphere.

I mainly use it in my everyday workflow for Keyscape, and a few cool layering tools/weird things that I have in a favourites folder, but I could fairly comfortably use it for everything if I had to.

I could prob make Serum, Massive (original, not X) or Spire fill the same role fairly comfortably too.

My actual, non do-it-all writing template that I start most demo sessions with has the following preloaded:

    SD3
Battery 4 (currently trialling/considering swapping in TAL Drum in the near future)
    Addictive Keys
    Repro 1
The Legend / Monark (depends what mood I’m in)
    TAL u-no-lx
    Serum

Also a couple of audio tracks with UAD Ampeg (svt or b15) and Helix Native for bass and gtrs, and a UAD Unison vocal chain loaded up and ready to go.

With that setup, I can get a demo down really quickly, using sounds that will be close enough to communicate the idea.

Obvs once the basic arrangement is down, a lot of the sounds/vsti’s will get substituted for other things as necessary (Addicitive Keys parts often get shifted to Keyscape/Kontakt pianos, synth parts will go to any of about about 15 other synths as appropriate, and so on) but yeah, keeping a very simple starting lineup lets me work quickly, and capture the idea before it slips away, which I find is usually the most important thing!

Yeah agreed on Rapid and AVG...Lots of possibilities there.
And Zebra too ofc...Very flexible although it doesn't have as many options as others

Excellent! I'm downloading Hypersonic to try it out. Despite it's an old piece of software, all I read are positive reviews.
I did try TTS-1 and it's wonderful for sketching up new demos.

I'm following you on SC, keep those latin sounds grooving!

U-he synths are INCREDIBLE. Their preset libraries usually cover most basic needs.

If you want to bring TTS-1 everywhere get the Edirol Hyper Canvas, same exact VST (TTS-1 is a reskinned Hyper Canvas that Cakewalk licensed from Roland)

For acoustic drums it's Superior Drummer

For electronic drums it's XO by XLN

For everything else it's Omnisphere or anything by Teletone Audio

It wouldn't be as underrated if its gui actually fit a decently mid sized screen

Thank you ! The only thing that helps against this is a larger HD monitor.

Vengeance - Avengers - System Requirements:

    Windows:
Intel Core 2.8Ghz with AVX extension
    OpenGL 3.2 capable GPU
    8GB RAM
    Win7/Win8/Win10 64Bit
    VST 2.4 compliant host

    Min. FULL HD recommended

You can get a decent bit of electronic mileage from the Reel Machines selections in AD2 also, if you are in a pinch. :)
