    Crypto first of all is not a currency but are commodities.
    Commodity transactions are inherently relatively risky.
    A currency has a much greater stability, both upwards and downwards, because one or more governments stand behind the currency.
    Of course, this has the disadvantage of control by states, but on the other hand also the advantage of control by states.

    Some people who have lost a fortune in recent years and hated control by states would now be happy about state intervention.
    However, one cannot have everything at the same time: An uncontrolled Commodity exchange with unknown people and a state-guaranteed currency.

    There is one consolation in every decision concerning money: The money is not gone, it is now only owned by another one!

    One lesson learned from losses should be that one should only invest in financial transactios that one fully understands and whose opportunities and risks one can happily accept and bear.

    But there is still greed...
