that downfall sound by elo

    is there someone who can recreate that sound appearing at the 1st second ?

    afaik it`s made on a cs-80.

    Nah, that's just (or sounds like) a little cheesy 2 oscillator synth tuned to about a 3rd and played chromatically with delay.

    It *could* be a CS80 with the stepped glide but if it is it's a disgrace to that instrument, and it certainly doesn't have to be recreated with one.

    Yp, he's "playing" it @ 1:25 (I know it's probably a prop on vid, but still..)
    lol, but have to agree ..nothing against ELO tho ;)

    Listening again I take back the bit about being tuned to a 3rd too. It sounds similar to the kind of Minimoog/Echoplex things Steve Miller Band would do to intro their songs... or a 70s tv news promo :wink:

    IF the glide is really what shown at 1:25 it shouldn't be a problem for the CS-80, except for usual wear.
