When you say "crushing/crush" do you mean crash??? I've seen you use the word "crush" before but I'm not sure if english is your second language or you really mean something other than crash (distorting??). Never heard the word "crush" in the context of software before.

It is not normal for Reaper to crash, no.

Anyways, your resources of your project look nice and low with project open. I'd keep an eye on them when the project crashes Reaper (assuming it is crashing). Also, you can get more granular and open the Performance Meter in Reaper and it will show what plugins are using what % of resources. You may need to eliminate some plugins one at a time from the project and see if you can figure out if perhaps a particular plugin is crashing Reaper. You could also try checking the Windows Event Viewer (you're windows, right?) for any errors in and around that time that Reaper/plugins would have triggered.

What are your PC specs? Memory, cpu, audio interface, Windows version, etc, etc..

yes its second lang, but crush means break right? eh ok close, as per google/ compress or squeeze forcefully so as to break, damage, or distort in shape.

so i meant reaper breaks :p

crushing is like smashing, use crush when you want to say that something is doing great on whatever it's meant to do (a slang) and crash when something stop working

Glad to hear you figured it out. That makes sense it was some sort of plugin. Which plugin is it, out of curiosity?

And re: crush vs. crash... yes, "crash" is the word you should always use in this sense. While "crush" sounds like it is a word that would fit here, it actually wouldn't make sense to English speaking people and we would have to guess what you really mean (not too hard, in this case, thankfully). No big deal though, just saying!

Crush is the word we use for squishing something, for example "crushing" a can (squeezing the can until its compacted). There's also some slang meanings to the word crush, like @Kuuhaku said, as well as meaning an infatuation with a person (ex. "I have a crush on Ana de Armas").

32 bit - very old - no updates, probably runs fine in a 32 bit daw.

You might want to try it with a bridge, like DDMF BridgeWize or jBridge and then run the 64bit bridged plugin. No guarantees but sometimes it works.

when i was using it, it did say bridgex86 something above the plugin i can't remember exact now...it did that automatically, maybe its the jbridge thing u're talking about...i don't know about the other one DDMF bridgewize, can i use that in reaper? thanks

Reaper has got it's own bridge, but no bridge is perfect, so it might be worthwhile to try others (bridgewize and jbridge in this case).

All of those will work with Reaper.

That would kinda defeat the purpose of the plug-in though. But I would try a different kick plug-in that works better in Reaper.

My favorite is Sugar Bytes DrumComputer, although it's not free. Infected Sounds Kickboy 2 and Quilcom B-2 Kick looks quite comprehensive, but I haven't tried them myself so can't say for sure.

So it had worked before? With which setup?

I've tested it and it didn't crash (Reaper 6.64, Win 7).

If you right click the plugin in the FX browser (not FX chain), you can isolate plugins further from Reaper, possibly stopping a crashing plugin from crashing Reaper itself. Gets applied the next time you add the plugin to a track or item.

I picked that one because it was so obvious of a person to use to help demonstrate what the word meant... lol!

@petrrr I actually just use Speedrum and drum samples now.. but i've used a couple other kick vstis. I think both Bigkick (Credland Audio / Plugin Boutique) and Kick 2 (Sonic Academy) are both available on the sister site. They are both good in a way and have loads of sample packs that can be used for either, but also come with a lot by default. If you're looking to get away from that stuff and prefer to use free plugins, however, then those won't work for your purposes, of course.
