Logitech MX Vertical Ergonomic Mouse - Is it worth it?

THE NATURAL POSTURE OF A HANDSHAKE
The natural handshake position of MX Vertical reduces wrist pressure, forearm strain. The unique 57° vertical angle has been optimized for an ergonomic posture without compromising a pixel of performance. MX Vertical reduces muscle activity by 10% compared to a traditional mouse.

Best for: Large to medium hands, day-long comfort, intuitive use, alleviating wrist pressure, more relaxed forearm position, improving upper body posture

    LIFT VERTICAL ERGONOMIC MOUSE
Day-long comfort, great for small to medium-sized hands.

I'd get the flat version. It doesn't look like this has a thumb horizontal scroll wheel, for daw. does it? It's a silly looking version of the MX Master2 anyway. I love them. I have probably dropped mine off my desk 500 times. They are durable as you will find.

    Would love to try this.
Had carpal tunnel surgery in 2004 and couldn't arch my hand to hold a mouse so switched to Logitech keyboard/touchpad combo.

I was getting like this, and then I switched to a split kb. that really helped, but the mouse even more. The MX master is awesome, you can assign the thumb scroll wheel to left right vertical scroll in your Daw timeline. Macros on all the buttons. They make macOS like working on windows. ;]

I've tried some vertical mouses, but it didn't work for me, so I've tried a trackball (logitech m570) and I'm really happy with it!

Thanks @Kluster, for the information. My sympathies to you.
Do you maybe have a link to the touchpad - I would love to take a look. My English is poor.

Your K/D ratio is gonna plummet bro, you'll never be able to hit those flicks again with that kind of mouse

I mean... a trackball mouse is the only way though. Especially when you have a gut like me, its real comfortable to rest my trackball mouse on it as I lean back in my office chair

My wife has one, or something similar. She really likes it. I have had to use it once or twice to do something, and someone's similar mouse at work, and I feel completely incapable of operating it. haha It takes a bunch of getting used to, but i think it's a good idea if you have carpal tunnel or other hand/wrist issues. I might do that one day, myself, but ya.. will take a lot of getting used to.

I actually saw this one at work (or a very similar one) a few days ago, nobody knew who was the owner so we just left it there after screwing around with it for a little while. Should have stolen it goddamit.

Anyway, it did feel weird at first, but not on a world ending level, got used to it pretty quickly and i messed around with it for like an hour or so. The left click did feel a bit weak and i can see that being a problem if you're a heavy clicker. That said, the time i used it was for very light stuff like clicking things on the desktop and moving things around, don't know how it will feel on more intense use.

    It was pretty confortable though.

Sorry, the Logitech TK820 is out of production.
    How good was it?
    They're selling for $480 on amazon.ca.
Was hoping on getting a spare, but SOL:(

Is it worth it? No one tell you that, get it online and test it out (or shop).
What i can def. tell you is this.
Get a couple of devices so that your hand/arm has time to heal aka gets to
use different parts of your anatomy.

I dont think there is one solution so this is what i came up with.

    Mouse
I use the Logitech m720 instead of the mx master, the master is def only for people with large hands (i assume)
the m720 has all the same functions minus the side scroll wheel. But is significantly smaller.

    2nd
A wacom Tablet (CTH480 small) with Pen & Touch, Reading/scrolling loads of text feels very natural with the wacom touch
    maybe a fix for @Kluster.
The pen is very cool and works wonders on my arm, the Touch i only use for Slow activities like reading
or like right now on the Forum, 1 or 2 weeks and you should feel right at home with those.

    3rd optional for second hand
    Contourdesign ShuttlePRO
    [IMG]

    Or
3DX SpacePilot (old version (very cheap)
with this hand i control STRG,ALT,SHIFT with the small finger. Which makes shortcuts less fatiguing for the mous/pen hand
    Thumb: copy,cut,paste,Enter,Space key, playPause
and then 11Buttons for the rest of the 3 fingers.

What makes it better than the contour?
that big thing in the middle lets you
Zoom (up down), + 4 function for tilt, + 4 functions for Horizontal movements
AND you can Twist!!! For instance to scroll the timeline

Since using this on steady rotation no more Serious illness. in any of the Arms

And i only use the non stepped Version of the Mouse Scrolling.
Even new, this is much cheaper than 480! For everything.
But used, its below 100 bucks for everything.:no:

Sorry to hear that @Kluster @BEAT16, never used vertical mouse b4, but im a big fan of logitech products have a bunch of speakers keybords and mouse all 10+ years never failed to this day. Brand wise i like it they have good design on most of their products.
Also if u havent tried yet, try placing ur hands in 90 degree posture might help, can do this by increasing the seat height. I mean like this
