    Well, let's see what comes out of the poll.

    The lindell's and other brainworx emulations on the sister site are pretty good.

    I actually bought 3 of them but was "tipping" the other interested buddies that might be a bit lost.

    The old "Regular Way". The ones I have from them are too new. I believe I will go with the 31102. If there are different components of the strip but as different .au plugins, can we only use the EQ block? The preamp is a separate .component.

    Could we derive a mastering contest from this one?

    You mean a modern mastering for vintage-ish mixed song? :unsure:

    That's a good question. Vintage is theme but I'm not sure which tools we should be using for that.

    Back in the days they just used a separate (three or four band) EQ and a bit of compression, that's it - if they used additional compression at all.

    Been a while since the last time I used Satin as a limiter. Aight, let's get to work.
    Tomorrow :rofl:

    Before we start, I'm using:
    Softube American Class A because it's the only vintage strip I had downloaded;
    Wavesfactory Echo Cat because it's the only vintage delay I have installed;
    u-He Satin because of course and;
    Rare Signals Transatlantic Plates because yet again, the only vintage one.
    Nothing else, not even the SOne crosstalk feature on buses. Is everything right?

    I'm vintage (old as fuck), but in the context of this exercise how many years old constitutes vintage?

    Take care that you don't add too many harmonics at the end and distort the whole song.

    Looks like a good setup for this contest.

    It's not about the exact age of the original hardware, but about compliance with the terms and conditions mentioned in post #1 of this thread. You can roughly say it's about emulations of hardware from 60s and early 70s.
    But again, it's not necessary that the plugins are emulating a specifc hardware.

    Who do you think I am?
    Of course I will do just that that!
    Put it on each stem, put it on master, crank up the drive to the max - Bam! Ready. Where's my Winner flair?
    Seriously tho, I'm not that much of a DnB-head to do this with acoustic rock mix.

    Sounds convincing. :rofl:

    Seriously, I didn't expect you to do this, it was more a general hint for the other members here who might read it.

    Can someone recommend a suitable channelstrip from sissy site? I usually use individual channel style EQ and compressor, but not channelstrips that host both EQ and Comp under one hood.
