    I think it is Clavinet too. Very low and with the right pickup setting (had to check)

    Absolutely a clav. With maybe a teensy bit of chorus and envelope follower. Actually, it sounds like a sample that has been lowered from its original pitch to me.

    Clav+bass guitar. you can hear them slightly separated on the first three notes. It's pretty in sync though.

    To add… the pickups are in out of phase mode. I like to call it quack mode. Kind like the 2nd position on a 5 way Strat.

    Thank you all for your answers. I think we get it. A clavinet in the lower octave. And... possibly high compression?

    Unlikely, the song's from 1976, high compression was pretty rare back then.

    Regarding Best Answer, they used for sure the real instrument (post #4) but nowadays this would be difficult and something like the Kontakt VSTi would be easier to use (post #3). Your choice.

    I saw one of these at a local music store a year ago. beautiful condition. they wanted 1 Gee.

    for some reason when I think of a Clav this scene always comes to mind
