It's really annoying....I've set my entire Audio software folder as an exception and still when I want to run a keygen (which I trust), Bitdefender blocks it! Grrr

If you used cracked software and keygen you probably don't need an anti-virus app, Remove it!

As I said, I did set an exception. I now tried disabling the AV...still blocks.
This is pissing me off!! I'm removing it.

Actually, I tried most of them, never worked as expected, so you have to trust in the name of the cracks group first, second windows antivirus is totally fine!

 

Yup...just uninstalled it. I feel free again!

 

BitDefender very good , but not for Keygens or Cracks ... In the past I try it , no good for me ... Now I use Kaspersky , which have an firewall incorporated ...

 

I don't use bitdefender, but for any anti virus, in the configuration search for heuristic detection and de-activate it, it should not detect keygen as virus anymore.

As mentioned before deinstall bitdefender (which uses lots of ressources and is not a good Antivirussoftware at all) and go with something like Defender UI (UI for Windows Defender) and VoodooShield and you good to go.

 

MS Win 10 you cannot uninstall defender google how to disable in the group policy thats how i did mine and remove all 3rd party Virus software. In Win 11 I have not found away yet as it is very restrictive dont use it

 

I used Kaspersky and Eset and never had this issue.

 

You can make an exception of the whole disk system, run the keygen,and after remove it again..

 

Windows Defender is good enough these days that you shouldn't get any viruses, unless you are really trying to get one!

Any AV you install will only give you more headaches and problems with your system than you would get without them (at least in my experience). Since they work at kernel level it can also be a nightmare to uninstall them. Even though most AV software has some kind of removal tool they can still leave a lot behind that may interfere with other AV's, and also Windows Defender.

 

Windows Defender is just... terrible. It can be handy against minor pieces of malware but in the face of anything slightly harmful having Defender or not having Defender is most likely to result in the same outcome. I once had a trojan taking control of Defender despite me not giving it admin rights to do so. It's hilarious how junky and lazy this antivirus is when you realize it's developed by Microsoft itself.

I used ESET and Kaspersky for a loooong time, I never had any issue installing or uninstalling them, absolute zero problems. They are in many ways much more convenient than Defender. The only advantage of using Defender instead of anything else is resource usage.
