For those who have used mercuriall sims, how realistic are they? Ive heard as good as neural in some threads...

What in your opinion is the most realistic amp sims on the market ?

I uses Scuffham S Gear mostly and also Nolly and Plini .. but for me S Gear plus Bogren IR is the best combo
I have tried Mercuriall, their Spark is very good to my ears

    Mercuriall is great.
Almost forgot about them after the Neurals were released by R2R.
Then I got a Headrush MX-5 and an EVH Iconic 50 combo and forgot all about software sims.
The Iconic shows me how far sims have to go, the interaction between guitar and amp is magic.
That shut my mouth when it came to saying sims were as good as amps.
    Not quite yet, Watson...

I had a fender 57 custom bought it for an insanely low price and used it for years but it shit out recently....something electrical related..tubes were fine ... so i have to make do with amp sims rn :(( I have amplitude and hate it , mercuriall sounded like a tube amp from what I heard but im trying to find the most authentic amp sim.

I honestly hadn't tried them all. I used real tube amps but the one that I have w me now shit out so ive been doing a lot of research on the best ones( realistically modeled ). ive used amplitude and im not a fan at all, kind of was bummed because I realize how shitty of the emulation was of the amp I owned. I haven't tested much... I was kind of I guess looking for a list of the top tier emus. ( ive tried neural , amplitude, trying mercuriall tonight)

The first mindset you need to be clear of when you jumped into the world of amp sim is...

It's not the amp sound, it is the AMP + Microphone + Microphone Technique + Room + Preamp + Processing.

Have you ever recorded that 57 custom of yours ? If you did, yeah, that sound, not the naked amp sound you hear when you plugged your guitar to it.

Anyway, I'm a Fender Amp player myself and Overloud TH-U (Riglibraries) with its Jensen Cabinets IRs is the best there for Fender amp tones IMO for now. You wont get the best tone after 1 day or 1 week, you gotta be patient and try mix and match things in it slowly to get the best out of it. It is not like you pick one preset and BAM good sound. It doesn't work like that.
