Some of your avatars are awesome and some even display a great pride in AudioZ (Introninja's "We AudioZ Here" and Olymoons new "CRAZYY" AudioZ logo on a volume knob spring to mind). However a lot of you still aren't using avatars and I wonder...why the hell not? Put a face to that nick and make the forums look better. Maybe people are into your comments and would keep an eye out if you only did that. Use a pic you already have or simply run a quick search for some keyword you're into, download the file and upload it to AudioZ. There are so many images out there this shouldn't be a big deal.

A rule to have avatars. Fuck that!! The moment a site tells me that I need to somehow stand out is the day I quit using that site. Anonymity is way more important than having some cool childish avatar.

 

We wouldn't make it a rule because it's your account and online persona and it's not our place but I do encourage people. That's why I'm just asking. Either way anonymity is dead anyways...

I can help you log-in to AudioZ if you need help and approval for posts was implemented (here) because of spammers and trolls so take it up with them before you blame us for it. Go on KVR and come back here and tell me about military organised forums. Please.

korgrog I am referring to simply using avatars not how you go about doing it. You can go to your profile and upload something from your computer or run a search of icons of Batman for example and then just save one you like to your computer and then upload it using the Upload button.

 

How does using an avatar prevent you from staying anonymous? With your way of thinking then, doesn't making users choose a nick name make everyone stand out and stop anonymity? Besides, who says your avatar has to be cool or childish? Your only limit is your imagination.

Oooh, I have a good idea? Has SAiNT been using the same avatar for all of these years? How about we have a contest to design a new one for him? And the winner could get uhhhh, I don't know....maybe a lifetime supply of toothpicks or something. Sorry, I'm not very imaginative. I'm sure someone could come up with a much better prize.

I have nothing against Avatars, just having a rule about it, besides...Avatars have a way of sticking out depending on what it is. I've been on plenty of forums where I know who is posting what without even having to read the post based on the avatar I see as I scroll through. And as far as nick names go. We would never make a rule about it because we're not nazis. Concerning anonymity: it's dead so you might as well just do whatever. It's not like the NSA or the MAFIAA are going to be like: damn he's not using an avatar...now he's beyond our grasp. I think in this case the pluses outweigh the minuses, at least for me.

 

These should be the default AZ avatar :D
