Yes you are right, but I thought of something, there is on the site the " Convology XT by Impulse Record " as VSTi, in addition there are free Impulse responses.

I personally think the newer True Stereo Reverb Impulses from Convology XT sounds soooo soooo goooood and eat Altiverb for breakfast. The best there is for now IMO.

XT is free, the True Stereo packs not.

 

Convology XT new updates making it able to handle Quad Channel True Stereo IRs. They also released few True Stereo IR packs with it which is the best I've tested so far. The different with regular Stereo IR and True Stereo IR is instead of 2 channels LR, the True Stereo IRs is 4 channels (L, R, LtoR, RtoL) which gives it more details capture of the reverb. Other plugins like Altiverb, East West Space 2, Best Service Hall of Fame also has their own True Stereo IRs that come in stock.

well, it's subjective because True Stereo IRs has been out long and some people are doing just fine with the usual IRs. I think it depends on the engine (Convolution Reverb plugin) and the quality of the IR files too. As an example, the Best Service Hall Of Fame also comes with True Stereo IRs but I don't like them much, I think the stereo ones sound better to me. The True Stereo IR pack for Convology XT though is the one that I think sound super good. Yeah, I suggest you test them yourself and see what suit you and most importantly the track, best.

Don't have the old set though. I've since deleted / added a few (deleted, mostly).
Still only free IRs.

 

My niece was caught using those Samplicity Bricasti M7 impusle responses in a piece of music that she posted on YouTube back in 2019 and spent 3 years in prison at the Scranton Woman's Correctional Facility in Pennsylvania because of it. Now since she got out the only job that she could get is pumping gas at a local no name petrol station, and also as a rule of her probation is not allowed to use ANY reverb plugin that's impulse response based for the next two years or face being sent back to prison. Livia had to learn the hard way.

Different responses from Studio Nord Bremen. They have reverbs (plates and springs) and many different speaker cabinet IRs.
Sounded pretty good to me so far.
