Can i bypass the minimum requirement for Cubase 12?

I have an Intel core i7 3rd Gen, but Cubase 12's minimum requirement is Core i5 4th Gen. Is there a way to bypass this limitation?

As for chip limitations, I wouldn't like to say. Just that it won't be the only hurdle you have to face in getting this software to run smooth. I run Cubase 5 on a system from the last century. And it works great. Super fast. I can even mess about with drivers and get my old soundcard to work on it as well.. I don't really know what I'm doing.

Cubase 8 was the last version that would accept 32 bit plugins. That was worth knowing.

Cubase 10 is the very last version that will work on windows 7. But 10.5 probably won't.

The thing is, Steinberg always give out unrealistic system specs, be it for them under-rating systems or over-rating them. Some stuff will work on much later versions. Some stuff will not work properly on the specs they give for minimum system requirements. But they have a wide portfolio of work. You are just asking about the main DAW program here. Sorry to go off-topic.

First I would see if this limitation is real at all, or just political. And if it is real, then maybe you can find a way around it.

I've broken the limits of minimum system specs so much over the years, never taking any one's word for gospel. But there are some things that can't be broken. But you don't know until you try.

Let's just say that if you try to run your software, you may be pleasantly surprised. Of course, if it does not run as fast as you thought it might, then you can't go running to Steinberg about it. Naughty naughty! Don't ever tell them that you attempted this great leap of science though. They might fine you!

Would be good to know if you could get this working one way or the other though, if you can.
