Pay attention at this moment: the three companies that recklessly abuse their legit users, both as protection and general policy, are Avid, McDSP and Sonnox.
What do they have in common? All three have never been touched by R2R. Only R2R can remedy this abuse.

How do McDSP and Sonnox abuse their customers? Genuinely asking because I don't know any of this.

McDSP and Sonnox force users to use the iLok dongle, coupled with double checking with the local account, requiring massive CPU resource usage just for protection. Very similar to PT Ultimate protection (especially McDSP). In addition, very exaggerated prices, both new licenses and upgrades, the precarious assistance (McDSP practically works only for Pro Tools), and other issues..

Now that Avid has played it's card, I can't help but wonder if R2R will play theirs.....

When I wrote to McDSP support about the problem that presets on VST3s were not showing up on Reaper, they replied: I don't know how to help you. We always work only on Pro Tools.

I use a few sonnox plugins without a dongle and I like them a lot - they're authorised with ilok cloud.

I don't care what will happen to PT eventually. I am only glad I stuck with Cubase since it was released first. Love its workflow and its MIDI features (PT?). I wonder why all these self-proclaimed utube gurus still stick to it. Industry standard? Bullshit. Look at Hans Zimmer and what he does on Cubase. I DO OWN it legally and paid less than Avid charges for just ONE year!

Already checked the folder paths? Is Reaper listed as officially supported? I remember working with McDSP plugins (the old Audioutopia releases) and they definitely worked here in Studio One, can't recall if they were VST2 or 3 at the time. Though the crack was kinda unstable and crashed a decent amount (there were workarounds, like if you loaded at least one of the cracked Soundtoys plugins, McDSP would no longer crash) which is why I let go of McDSP in my workflow. But it definitely did work to some degree.
