    HI PEOPLE :D

i was watching one of infected mushrooms YouTube videos , they said how they produce such Crazy melody lines ,
the bald guy said " WE cut melody into milions of pieces and then we give a different effects to different Parts "

NOW my problem is that i want to do this thing in FL studio (they was working with Cubase) And i dont know how
Problem is if you want to do this with fl you should give every piece of melody a different channel mixer track , and that SUCKS

    thank you for helping :D

you can do it easy with multiple fx and automation lanes

channel 1 with cuted clips -> add multiple fx on that channel (reverb, delay, distorsion, chorus etc...)

then with automation run exactly that fx you want, just draw automation (set every fx and play with dry/wet), you can mix it ofcourse if you wish...

or use Glitch, or use Izotope shutter etc...

but, for this situation I suggest run multiple tracks and then when you satisfied with result do flatten to one file and one final track.

... I see this function in:

    - Cubase
    - Studio one with Track FX functionality
    - Reaper with Take fx functionality

and maybe Reason, Live can't do that also FL Studio

what i like to do is copy a melody line a few times and throw either Glitch/Effectrix/something similar on each. Each audio file having different settings and FX.

Then slice every file into individual bars, then its just a pick n mix. Mess around till you get something randomly coherent.

You can take it further by panning one 'selection' of audio left and another to the right. Then throw another FX processor on the final result.

Add some gentle compression so everything gels. The multiFX can produce wildly different volume levels so I find this a must.

Itll be pretty mental at this point :wow:

Heres one of my old tracks, I didnt take it to the extremes as outlined above but hopefully itll be of some help. At the end everything goes batsh!t crazy... My fav comment on this track is "this is dirtier than African drinking water" :break:

Studio One can have individual effects on any audio part/slice, all on one track and channel.

When you use S1's internal or 3rd part vst3 effects, you don't have them on CPU until they start.
They turn on/off when needed and don't stay always on.

    That's why I use vst3 whenever I can...

    Hi,
there is a video, on FL Studio site, where you can learn how to do that using FL Studio 11. It works, in a different way, with FL Studio 10 too.

You can do this in Audition 4+ with "Clip FX" but note that 4+ doesn't do MIDI notes/recording which will be a hinderance to Music Production.

I didnt know that about vst3. Anyhow, you know that it is very easy to render and restore as well...

In Slicex in FL Studio to assign each marker to a different output you have to select the marker, then go to where it says region settings and change the out to whatever output you want to use (-- is the main output)... after you've selected the output go down to the step sequencer looking deal and right click the key you want to map the marker to, and click assign current region to this key... Also you will want to make sure that the auto-slice settings are on dull, so you dont end up with 77 slices for a 5-second clip... (right-click razorblade tool and select dull slicing, so it only detects the strongest transients)

Youll also probably want to make the release of the ENV way longer so you dont have to hold down the key to make the sound play til the end

...and that is a strong side of S1.
You are free to choose the way you work for your best workflow !

I like to keep it small and avoid rendering, saving some disk space.
But I have to bounce too when my tracks fill up...

Rendering midi track to audio and recovering it back to it's state whenever needed
is a huge step forwards in production.
Before that I kept the midi and presets before I bounced, in case I need it.

    cheers

You can use Fxpansion geist it's multiout and you can bounce directly from the vsti. So if you have a loop (like vengeance stuff) you can extract claps, hihat to singles bounce and the process as you want. I use it for a month when i was using Fl than change to S1 so i don't need this plugin anymore, but it's very cool
