Anyone else think a witch should knock it off with this bullshit music on every damn keygen?

I usually find them pretty annoying, at least in volume that' so high, so I disable speakers in case.

However, there are exceptions, I rendered and saved this, I don't remember which one was:

just get proper audio interface or monitor controller with Dim and Mute functionality :bleh:
#ProTip - unless you're mixing or playing music on your computer, there is no reason to have monitors/headphones running at full volume

Yep sometimes I forget to mute and jump out my skin especially if its quiet with noting else on... but it's by far the most creative kind of music there is considering its size etc :)

I love keygen music but I don't think anyone will disagree with the fact that they are so good damn loud every single time... I always half my system volume (or mute) before opening one.

Why don't you just download those keygens that are silent, as I do?
BTW all keygens from witches do have hidden mute feature... since beginnings.

I feel the same way whenever I am forced to listen to auto-tuned four-note free-form "melodies," and lyrics that sound like they're trying to rhyme but sound illiterate, of current pop music. It's not as though I can hit the "mute" button on my keyboard in advance so that I don't have to hear it.

I've actually thought about trying to hack the MIDI files from keygen music and making orchestral arrangements of it.

    Absolutely for me as well

Keygen music can be such a joyous part of life.
It is heavenly, in a smaltzy kitsch cheese n nostalgia way.
She used to hear me dancing to gen music and know that she could use the CC for hours, because I would be focused and happy for the foreseeable future.
It is like Italian Disco, lift music, Eurovision. When you get it and dance in silly ways, life is a slice of Paradise in your little cave.

I think I often instinctively hit mute or drop volume first before I launch any keygens so I don't shock the hell out of my wife, but I love chiptunes and I think the music is great! Loud, but great.

I love it! It brings me back to the golden ages of tracker music, starting for me in 1990. Does anyone else remember how their mind was blown away by Second Reality by FUTURE CREW? Or how much better did Fasttracker 2 sound with a GUS card (Gravis Ultra Sound)? Oh, the memories :-D

Oh, I'd completely forgotten about the GUS. I had one. I also had an Adlib and the original Creative Labs Soundblaster and various other Soundblaster cards. I got my start in music messing around with trackers like Impulse Tracker (well, my "start" was actually with very early Cakewalk, before it, but I did a lot of work in trackers).

Future Crew were amazing back in the day. Thanks for the trip down memory lane haha..

So the op of this post seems to be saying that he wants the things that a witch
spends god knows how much of their time and thereby their life providing to us
and as a reward, instead of thanks, respect and gratitude they get some childish
    bitching about keygen music.

    Grow UP.
The answer is, TURN YA FECKIN SOUND OFF BEFORE RUNNING A KEYGEN!

Music in keygens has been around as long as there has been a warez scene and that
probably goes back before some on here were a sperm in their daddy's ball sack.

The witch has always been known for the quality and collectability of their
music and long may it remain so.

I hope this is some terrible attempt at satire, because this is one of the most ignorant statements I've heard in a long time. You're literally insulting an entire subculture you know nothing about. Like some racist out of touch grandpa. Some of the most talented composers of all time have been from the demoscene or started off making music for 'nintendo' games. Half the time these keygens just steal music while stripping credit from the composer. Just because some music makes you feel uncomfortable because you think it was made by 'degenerates' or 'undesirables' does not mean your opinion is valid.

It's like complaining that a keygen keeps getting flagged by AV, or you don't like the fancy graphics or animations. Crack scene is not just about providing you with free shit, it's about a form of underground expression, spitting in the face of authority, etc.

You want to see a hard drive? This is just one folder. I've gone through the trouble to painstakingly document the artist and title of many well-composed keygen music I liked, finding more like it along the way. Some of the best composed, most unique melodies and harmonic structures you can find anywhere.

Perhaps educate yourself rather than be an ignorant asshat and insult 40 years worth of computer musicians:

@ziked true i agree but don't give him too much Attention .....some of the keygen music is really good and nostalgic it reminds me of the times when games was fun and not just focus on just graphics and not gameplay.....most of the time when a person talks ignorant like that just let them be a gust in the wind

    Here in all its glory:

It's one of the rare demos that I liked and even listened repeatedly! I'm not a fan of keygen music or tracker music, but this was different. I think they made [Future Crew] some other good demos that I also liked. I should look it up...

p.s. Second Reality music was made with an 8ch tracker and no plugins. Makes you wonder, eh? ;)

I know you're joking, but there are certain people that actually "upped their game" in term of bits... They work with a different type of software and are not a part of audio warez scene, though :)
