    Hey guys!

After reading them about recording with my shure 58 mic and about the analog sound, I decided to record this riff with an old Peavy amp that I had in storage. I would like to know your opinion.
Do you think it sounds better or worse than an AMP vst?
I find it somewhat strange, it must be because I am used to listening to Amp vst, but at the same time I feel that it has a more harmonic sound? can be? what do you think?

If you dont have a nice amp (head + cab + good speakers), a nice mic, cant crank the volume and dont know how to mic a cab, use the vst. They are so good this days!
I record a lot of metal and rock, so for me, i always reamp the rhythm tracks through a real amp cause i like the bottom end and the more "nice" high end. But for solos, leads and cleans... 90% of the time vst´s.
For ex, this is a 5150 preamp on rhytms and a Alien Evolution (soldano-ish handmade amp) on leads, cleans are Nolly Archetype plugin.
