In reaper daw how do i make 2 notes snap without Snapping mode on

    the "snap to grid" mode is off
    the notes are not on the grid
    but how can i make it snap to the note below it

    i mean i can also leave snap to grid mode on but i don't know how to do it that way either! connecting note to note on different pitches that are not on the grid...

    I'm doing this this way:

    1. I assigned a shortcut to the MIDI Editor

    2. then turn Snap on and move the beginning of the unselcted note to the right. You can even leave the other note selected, it will not be moved

    I also added this command to the Navigate menue

    Hmmmmmmmmmm I did the first step that you shown to put the edit cursor at the end of the first note

    that helped me to manually drag the note below it at a more precise point easier so that each note starts where the other begins

    but i don't thing it snaps with snapping mode on if its not on the grid

    does urs snap on the edit cursor with snap on?

    i just installed the latest version of reaper and when i run the action above now...when i zoom in its not right on the end of the midi note its always a bit far out, no idea whats going on

    Yep, it snaps immediately

    Sorry, I accidentally swapped the selection, but I assure you it works even when the first note is selected and the second not.
