You must not only take into account the direct cost of girlfriend/boyfriend but also the indirect. The TCO is much higher.
Overhead costs: Like rooming, taxes, insurance
Fixed costs: Feeding, clothes, vacations
Variable costs: Accessoirs, shoes, brilliants.../ watches, Motorbikes, gadgets.../ e.g. psychyatric treatments and boozes for you (resulting from having a gf/bf)

Almost all potential savings lie in variable costs. If you go out less with your friends or cheat less, this results in lower expenses for (gf: rings, necklaces and diamonds) / (bf: watches, permitted drinking, gadgets). All measures for which you have to apologize are directly reflected in the variable costs.

One of my friends once said (shortly after he was divorced) that a permanent girlfriend/boyfriend/spouse always loses out if you compare them to a professional service provider (escort services) for cost reasons. Only the constant direct access is an advantage, but it decreases with increasing usage time. However, this is offset by the greater variety in professional operations.
On the other hand, having kids with escorts is not a good idea.

Conclusion: A permanent boyfriend/girlfriend costs approximately the entire income minus a small savings volume for apology gifts. This is offset by the cost of a professional service, which depends on the frequency and duration of use and varies greatly from place to place.
