hi recently i download some pulsar plugins... from R2R and ive noticed they used just an installer... its maybe their new way to install ? cause i love it , double click , install, and done. nice !

 

That's custom installer - not a new thing from R2R. But yes...we gotta love 'em

 

They used custom installer mostly for iLok protected plugins.

 

the plugin uses iLok protection that doesn't need any serial key just some intelligence bypassing in the plugin so no Keygen included.

Yeah, but I would love it even more if R2R realeases a patcher & keygen in one App. So one doesn't need to wait all the time for a new patched file when the vendor makes a minor update (without changing the auth system).
I think R2R doesn't do it that way anymore because of the freeloaders.

All the plug in's i Dl from R2R That need a keygen, my antivirus (Bit Defender) is telling me it has a trojan - from various plug ins such as Addictve Keys, The Glue & RC20 Colour - anyone else finding this or is my anti virus too smart for its own good.

Any help or advice appreciated to get round this

dud if u get it from the sister site, relax ! I'm that user who gets a little paranoid but it's been more than 1 year that I use "things" from the sistersite and nothing has happened at all! Without a doubt, it is the best source of all, so if I were you, I would make a folder on your system where you could later clarify to your AntiVirus that this folder doesn't matter what happens, it doesn't have to block or delete anything! but if you download from another page... maybe u can consider install it on a PC without internet haha.

 

All releases of R2R are safe, But I can't say the same for V.R.

 

I don't know how long I've known about the sister site, but I think it's from the hand that I got to know about the Russian torrent site. 10 years or more.
The point is that both the sister site and the Russian torrent which is practically the mirror of the sister site. They are the two sites that I always trust 100% in these 10 years or more, no patch or keygen causes me any problem.

No, I don't use them. But I know from people on the forum that they have irreversible effects on your system.

 

I have been using R2R and V.R for years.
Never caused any problem in the system, never. And that I install almost all the plugins that come out on the sister site.
The only thing that sometimes I have to do is delete the Team VR records if I install a version of R2R, which R2R explains in detail what to delete.
And from time to time some plugins are undone, but I was also guilty of not following the instructions, like blocking the sites they mention.

For my part I can say that both R2R and V.R are safe, at least that is my experience.
