Ah, in this version I had read that the keygen did not work in the comments and I went to 3 and the links were down. I'm going to try this.
And yes, this was the first one I heard and thought they were real loops, in fact they were looking for loops (I'm trying to mix wind loops with kontakt libraries to give it more realism.

It is true about the guitar, as well as about any instrument.

The first time I heard a trombone, it was for a song, and when I heard a contact bookstore I said, wow it sounds the same!
but then I met a musician who played the trombone and... oh god I was amazed. The sound that had the warmth, everything!
Then when I listened to the kontakt library again, it sounded like a toy haha.

I just read it! it seems that the keygen does not work, there is a link to the correct keygen, but the link is dead. Can we ask the admins to re-upload it?

Edit: I just PM PiRAT, let's see if he can reactivate the page to the right keygen

Yes, I know what you mean, anyway there's a huge difference between recorded sounds and live sounds, so may be that was part of the experience too

just a quick note. I just tried SWAM stuff for the first time and though i wasn't really feeling it holly sh*t f*ck this must be the only instrument where i feel they implemented overblows the right way.

I found it on a page that has all 4 links working, but I can't download them because you have to be a nitroflare premium.
@No Avenger Can I send him the page or the links by message?

They are wind controller oriented for best implementation. Actually, the way a standard tuned guitar is setup wind instrument lines are easier to execute on a guitar than on a piano. So if you have a wind controller plus a MIDI pickup for your guitar you could have a blast getting very expressive results with SWAM.

I’m really hoping they eventually add altissimo to all the WW instruments. Then doing some Lenny Picket lines with the tenor sax would be a dream!!

There is an essential version (smaller than the complete version). It looks great, thank you!

Here IMO the best explanation on how to use properly SWAM in a orchestral ensemble (at the time there was not DivisiMate).
Best of all, see how this composer integrates controllers, like the gesture tracking Leap Motion.
Breath controller (I still have it, used only once since 1993) is not that great, but still useful for brass, woodwinds and the like.

As with most VSTi, they are an instrument, and like any real instrument have to be practiced to learn to play them well. It frustrates me to see people dismiss a VSTi after their first try saying it sounds bad, when they just don't know how to play it. And many also need some amount (a lot in my case) of MIDI manipulation to enhance the performance, expression, and realism.

Take a look at the 8dio Claire Virtuoso series of solo woodwinds. They can sound very good, are on sale for just $39.20 USD each right now, and are also around from other places...

That is the BEST PART. One question: the hardware with all the buttons that appears in the video (where he selects the different parameters) is optional right? I mean, you can change the parameters of leap motion using the mouse and keyboard, or that hardware is required to use leap motion?

It's true what you say, but that's what reviews or promo videos are for. And it has happened to me several times that you listen to the promotion and it sounds fantastic, super real, and then when you have it, it sounds like a toy. Of course if you are dedicated and talented you can get sound out of a can. But I don't think that's the idea.

    As far I understood, no.
That was just an initial setup for the Leap Motion, called for ease of use from a pad controller, but it could have been called manually.
Then he used right hand to play and left hand (+ breath controller) to control the MIDI params you see.

Edit: all the toggle MIDI params are controlled by the pad, like tremolo, so, better to have many hw controllers as possible in anyway, but live playing relies mostly on the above LM and BC.

I'm total novice in midi controllers, but since I restarted my intention to install my laptop with a new home studio, I see potential in these tools. I see a problem here, I'm mainly guitarist, so my idea would be introduce midi first and then step by step add the different midi paramenters (velocity, vibrato, etc). Some questions come to my mind:

    Is my intention doable?
If so, what midi controllers would be more useful? for what I've seen by now, Leap motion for strings and breath controller for winds/brass, though I think winds/brass midi info can be may be as good edited manually. What is your experience/recommendation about these things?

OC one can edit a MiDi file as he likes but in reality a breath controller is extremely handy.
Normally you can play convincing parts with breath controller and a simple midi keyboard (for notes) with mod wheel (mostly for vibrato).
This way you can use both hands and the mouth what means you can control 3 Midi parameters parallel and thats easy (works for me and I'm not an instrumentalist for ww) and should be doable for you.

There are breath controllers that additionally use ithe movement of your head plus a bite controller. That would be a 4th and 5th parallel controllable MiDi parameter.

I repeat: I'm guitarist. Though I play piano at begginer-medium level, I don't use it to compose. I write music in the staves directly.

I'm considering adapting one of my guitars to output midi. That would allow me to introduce vibrato and velocity in the first pass, but I don't know how this goes yet
