I have never used this program, recently came across a sound library for it (Kore Line North India) and I am veeeeeeeery slowly downloading it and its almost done. Now I decided to search for a Windows version of Kore player, no luck. Almost all of uploads are of Mac version, there are cracked updates for PC (v2.1.2 and v.2.1.1) it seems, other than that I think I saw a 3gb or bigger package with the factory library.

My question is, will I be able to install the Update only and then install the sound library that I am downloading? Like the cracked Kontakt updates (which contain the vst dlls and no installation is required)?

Please help, I am really confused (and a little sleepy), any advice will be much appreciated!

mmmm, not really easily explained but i will try.
kore is like being able to run the other n.i plugs (reaktor,massive,fm8,etc), inside a single interface
it allows you to layer sounds from each plugin and add other vst fx and such into single "instruments"
It also has alot of modulation possibility and you can morph between 8 different sounds etc, it can get really complex if you are into that sort of thing.

i'm not sure about the kore sound package you were referring to as i dont have it, but all the other ones only require kore2 or the koreplayer to use
koreplayer was free last time i checked, it isn't as full featured as kore2 though obviously.

the downside to using koresounds, is n.i have now dumped the format with the latest version of their plugs as far as i know.

Hi, if you want/need, i can send you the *.exe for just the program, the update or exe+library(iso) but just must wait cose i had not the time for 2/3weeks, so if you need, make a sign ;)

Otherwise i say like "psyfactory" it s good for merge, layered the other vst/vsti and midi part(for loop or other) into one...

    -.-

Hi guys, thank you for the response. I have managed to track the latest Kore2 player for windows and am going to try running it. The reason I am going through this is because of the instruments available in the sample lib I mentioned, Sitar, Tanpura, these are not very popular in synthesis or sampling field as they have limited scope beyond the traditional South Asian music. This is the first of its kind library that I have come across that promises to deliver what has already been done with other popular instruments ages ago.

Thanks for the offer man, you can count on me to bother you for that iso/exe/setup if my experiment fails. Will report back soon. Thanks again!

I actually really enjoy using Kore, there were some very cool libraries for it, plus the Deep Frequencies, Deep Transformations, and Deep Reconstructions add ons had some very cool effects. I would recommend messing with it, although I would agree that it was fairly badly supported and was doomed for obsolescence.

Oh btw the India library was one of my favorites, the drones especially were very nice

I can't begin to describe how good this library is, the Sitar is so authentic and so true to the Indian music, there can't possibly be a greater virtual instrument like this. The other instruments are nice too with the flute and shehnai being very basic set of samples. The tabla is great with the ability to tune but without a midi library it has no long-life use as, unless you have studied tabla by a tabla master, you can't play it because it is highly complex.

I found the free Kore player link from a generic download site, NI gave me a serial which needed to be authorized, used the offline method and it worked!

Thanks for all you guys for helping. Now I will have to try more Kore libraries!
