    The sound of a car speeding.

    Then a low muffled thud, resonating like a really bassy gong throughout the area.

    Piercing sirens from several police cars, joined shortly in a couple of minutes by an ambulance.

    Followed by an eerie silence somehow when the EMTs pull a blanket over someone pulled from a totaled car.

    Next day the sound of several frustrated drivers, when the repair crew has closed most of a busy intersection.

    You forgot the "oof" as the impact knocks the air, blood, guts and whatever else out of the poor bugger in the car.
