Hello y'all I hope you doing well, I am new on the Forum, but I m using the website for a while now .
I lost my Windows machine " last " month msi gf63 Intel i7 1to 40gb Ram it was a sad day, I now got an old mac book pro mid 2015 , I put my 1to SSD in it , format it ,Install the Os called BigSir .
Now I want to know if cracked softwares works the same way or if it's totally differents. Like on Win sometimes you have to move the cracked .exe to the installation folder or to steinberg vst folder...

Yeah as you can see I newbie on MacOs too so If y'all can help with some tips...
Also I'm using an Audient Id14 mkii, long time with Reaper DAW, I do not use a lot of plug Wave , FabFilter, Antares does they work great on mac ?

There are some differences between these operating systems. Also you won’t find for macOS all the available software for windows. I suggest you consider using Bootcamp (is a program included in macOS that assist you in installing windows) and put Windows on your mac and use the OS and plugins you’re already used to.

 

Yes,thank you it's an option too, but as a lot of People tells me that mac is good for audio I want to give it a try. My bootcamp partition is ready but I need an activation key, I will search the KMS software later

 

For audio production you MacBook should provide excellent performance. Especially with Logic & Reaper. No need for Bootcamp which, will not give you full Windows performance & capabilities. That drive space can be better used for Library/Sample storage.

Some plugins that I use on macOS along with stock Reaper & Logic ones are:
Celemony Melodyne 5
Klanghelm (free & retail versions)
Korg opsix native
Korg wavestate native
Melda Production (free & retail versions)
Plugin Alliance (free & retail versions)
Tokyo Dawn Labs/TDR (free & retail versions)

You don't need a boat load of plugins, just the right ones for your workflow.

 

A way better! The Core Audio works a way better than that ASIO crap. But I highly recommend Logic and its AU-plugins.
VST is dying.

 

Obviously, installations of apps / plugins on macos have different procedures than a PC, but once installed, behavior of the software will be exactly the same. Unfortunately in Big Sur there are various tedious steps to bypass security protections that will waste your time, be prepared to swear out loud...
I disagree on using Bootcamp, Wine, or any Windows emulators: they are derivative ways of working that won't be able to squeeze out 100% of the macos machine resources. My advice is to use your laptop in a proper way, I mean You have a mac: use it like a mac

I tried to switch ... and came back to Windows.
Last OSX versions S*CKS for "sister site" installs.
And every version is worse.
I don't even speak about M1 direction ...

Moria and Flare are your best bet for just simple installs similar to what you are probably used to on PC.... where you dont need a keygen and it just works... I never have an issue with moria's stuff and he has helped me release some zplane stuff that I sent him. Some people apparently have issues with his stuff but they are most likely morons that dont know how to use computers

 

lol the M1 I bought last year is the best computer i've owned... I can be tracking my buddy with multiple fx like 5+ dsp hogs and a gtr sim, downloading plugins off sister site and playing roller coaster tycoon 3 on max setting all at the same time with no issues or slow downs while using logic in rosetta mode... this is after updating from a 2012 macbook pro so I am very pleased

 

Bootcamp is not a VM or emulator, It's the real deal, running Windows directly on Mac with native drivers for the differences in Mac hardware. Performance is 100%. Talking from experience.

 

I have encountered exactly 0 software titles which have been scene released which do not work on Mojave. 0.
You need BatChmod, Codesigner, OSX Validate All AUs, and Permissions Reset2. That's it.

Don't form an opinion because someone doesn't know how to figure this out.

So I think that you join Recycle on that, BatChmod and the other softwares are for bypass security am I right ?

 

And yeah I create a bootcamp partition with minimum space, to use AFMG Ease and and AFMG Focus, that work only on windows

Apple says these new security measures are useful against malware (this may be true), in practice it precludes access to any software (legit or warez) that does not come from the official Apple Store

• disable the SIP / Gatekeeper

From here on you have to light a candle and hope your bizarre installation worked. In case of using warez, then you will have to move on to the crack procedure (following the .nfo file). Often, you will have to use the codesign method even on crack.
