They keep popping up in stuff that I read and seem to be receiving glowing reviews and comments. However, none of their stuff seem to be shared on the sister site to try out and see, so was just wondering if that's because they are no good or because they just don't happen to be shared?!

If you enter the term "Audiotent" on the ......... site, the results of the search engine will be a surprise for you.

It won't. I'd already checked. Everything is the best part of 10+ years old, with the most recent from 2015.

Ah, ok. That makes sense. I'm now wondering if there's any chance of getting some of these to trial?!

You own so much expensive equipment but the presets have to be free. Man, buy something from people.
The sound designers and the sample makers sit on it for days. Don't be a cheapskate and support the company.

Yep, unfortunately sister's not a good source for it.

Audiotent is very good, but a little bit pricey sometimes. A lot of A artists use their stuff and do also collaborations. I think it's not available on the sister site because a company/developer can demand such thing, but staff members can answer that question better I guess. Anyway, I bought a lot of their tools already and I'm very satisfied so far. Same goes for all the tutorials they share. Very helpful!

You make me laugh sometimes

This is my issue. I've bought far too many preset and sample packs that have ended up being absolute garbage, despite demos sounding decent sometimes. I believe they're not on sister site due to DCMA takedowns, or so it seems. But my main concern is that each pack is a hefty price at things like £35-40 etc, making them an expensive piece of garbage if they're not particularly good/useful for me personally. This is why I'd prefer to be able to trial some stuff before purchasing, despite some people's previous righteous comments about being a cheapskate looking for freebies.....who previously referred me to said freebie and cheapskate source that I have to assume they use

That's the nice thing about a forum like this, that you get to know all kinds of different people.

Audiotent are the best designers in electronic music right now.

HOWEVER: if you can’t do (on your own) at this moment the music at the quality you hear in the demos, then those presets won’t help. Valid for any other preset pack.

The presets and sample packs are tools that aloow us to make our music faster, not tools to put our music at a whole another level of quality (even though most of the ads say that :)

I understand what you mean. And at the end we also neet to be careful labelling ourselves not as collectors but producers :winker: Anyway, their stuff is definitely not garbage. Of course, not each sound or preset will be your own taste but that doesn't mean there's nothing to explore. To give an idea: I have for example their presets for ValhallaRoom, ValhallaVintageVerb, EchoBoy, Saturn and instruments like Zebra2, NI Massive and Sylenth1. Especially the effect ones are great as a starting point for certain sounds. And from the instruments I already recognized several presets that were used in official releases, with only slight tweaks perhaps (and a different melody of course because that would be really lame, also using their included midi haha). Okay, this was enough promotion for them! Where's my voucher .. :bleh:

Audiotent is good, PML is better, and more value for money. Make an account and donwload the freebies, its a lot of stuff for free. And GREAT stuff. You will want to buy something from them just to give something back :P
