Captain Plugins upgraded to Epic recently.

Had stopped using the previous version as much preferred the depth of Scaler 2 but this new version has a few workflow improvements.

Replaced the Kick Drum, refined the vocal drone.

Added a few ear candy bits.

Maybe if you put it on a video clip, people sit up and take notice. Creating 80s space is not easy. A period that many refer to it as the golden age of electronic and other music.

I own the Captain Plugins and just checked my Upgrade price: 99$ - which is the same price as for new customers :dunno:

    Which version do you have?
I bought Version 5 this year, and just had to click on "Upgrade from an old version", insert the email i registered with on the website, and I got my download link and Key per email, and didn´t have to buy that upgrade.

My concerns about Captain plugins are that all your data is stored in the cloud as MIDI and it is not yours. The MIDI data could be used easily for MIDI AI-generation (for example, they may use your MIDI data as inputs for artificial neural networks for generating output MIDI for somebody).
It's like generating ideas for somebody for free :)
Oh, no - you still need to pay $99 :) Such a good idea!

First off, your kick drum sounds far too clicky on smaller systems like an Amazon echo.

    Go for a darker kick.

Perhaps choose an alternate appregiated bass synth - something similar to the 1990 hit "Naked In The Rain" by Blue Pearl.

Add more rhythmic variety particularly as you move into your transition sessions.

Perhaps slow the BPM down slightly for the final drop of the main riff.

    nice one

just to comment something. i think the "middle8" at 6:06-07:02 is a bit to much, you have enough parts already, and its dissonant notes become a bit of a turn off. i would simply delete that part

at 3:06 when you introduce the B part i would have silenced the kick for while as a build up for a couple of bars. since the kick has been on for a good while and you are introducing a different segment. it helps to keep interest up and adds some variation.

other than that i liked it, and the sparse vocals did fit pretty well.
