There are two rules to success:
    1) Never reveal everything you know.

I love too slap both Acustica Diamond Transient modules (ft-xt) on phat beats, (Sub groove preset is a great starting point)
then play with gain going into that chain, back off the gains/tweak it a little and after that cleaning it up with something as TDR Nova.

It smears out the sub-bass, kills the dynamics on the top end pleasantly and then drills it hard into the clipper

The truth is that secret weapon plugins are those plugins that:
    - you used the most
    - give the best results for you
    - you like the most

If you used some plugin in almost every project. You can be sure that is one of your secret weapon plugins.
Everyone have own arsenal of "secret weapon" plugins.
This is very individual as the methods and places for making music belong to very individual preferences.
There is so many plugins for same thing. There is so many methods to achieve the same results.
    There is no universal arsenal.
You have to test a lot of plugins and see what works the best for you to build your own arsenal from scratch.
This is the best method to get very good arsenal of secret weapon plugins.

So, here's what I go for every project (effects-wise):

    Kramer PIE
    Echoboy
    TSAR-1
    ProQ 3
    Magic Death Eye
    Gullfoss

Obviously tons of other things get used but those ALWAYS get used. (I usually track with TSAR 1 but often it gets replaced at mix stage. Not always though.)

but yea, Melda plugins are soo underrated, I know the devs, they're cool folks, they just can't settle on nice UI visuals yet, it's a continuous process

It looked so boring I didn't even bother downloading it. I'm zapping it down now to see what I'm missing.

My secret weapon is time ! I used time to download almost every vst effect from Audioz , made word files by wrote them down and break them in categories ( gets updated with every new vst ) , read about them , know about them , used them to see if they work or not , compared them in all aspects and in the end chose the best for my taste for every project .
