I'm planning to buy Melodyne or Auto-tune plugins for my home studio. I tried Seventh Heaven pirate on the sister site, compared with the authentic plugin from my friend's studio. This crack is absolutely tras*. Anyone who has authentic Melodyne or Auto-tune can help me compare between two of them? Is Melodyne authentic supposed to make a smoother and nicer sound than the pirate's one? Or any difference in quality when exporting with authentic Autotune. Thank you guys for helping me with this question.

 

Seventh Heaven K'd had some buggy issues... Normally the plugins are exactly the same, just without protection.

 

Kracked software either works or doesn't, and if it does, there's no sound difference with the legit software.
If your cracked Autotune sounds bad, it's not because of the crack. At least not because of the software one.
LiquidSonics' cracks aren't working. R2R's Auto-Tune and RET's Melodyne are working.

A crack has nothing to do with how it should sound, if it sounds bad it's the company not the crack.

 

Beyond a few exceptions, like the aforementioned, cracks often run as well as, if not better than uncracked versions.

A lot of bloat and protection nonsense is regularly stripped, resulting in lower CPU & RAM usage.

 

Melodyne is not that type of plugin that you put on the channel and it automatically provides the result you are looking for. See it as a virtual instrument: it is your talent as a composer / sound engineer who makes the difference. Your friend is probably more experienced at using it than you are

 

cracked it is cheaper...

 

We had stuff like Fabfilter with volume drops and such things, but that relatively rare.

yeah the seventh heaven release is broken and hasn't been fixed yet.

i would however like to ask something else. if you use cracked software in a project and later try to load the project file on a machine where a legit version of the same plugin is installed. will it load properly? and can presets saved from one be opened in the other? i suppose this would probably be different in between plugins.

 

Well, not quality per se but often times this song is played in reverse and at subliminal level when you use pirated pluggies

 

What's with this LiquidSonics cracks not working thing?
Seventh Heaven is in my template, using it every day without any problems.

 

Many have reported issues with these cracks but they work fine here too. Great sounding reverb.
