hi , my Cubase 12 jerks and hangs .
You can see it especially at the position pointer.
Also when I want to load a plugin, it takes a short time until the list of insert plugins is opened.
I use Cubase version 12.0.10 R2R

I have already deactivated and activated the Asio guard and updated the graphics card driver , unfortunately no improvement .

I have a bunch of Vst´s in this project , but my pc is not completely busy .

when i open a completely empty project everything runs fine , what could be the reason ?

 

do you know if this happens with legit users too?? since the cracks doesn't modify the inner code of the software, but fool the activation manager to believe that it's all legal

 

to my knowledge, it happens the same way with legitimate users.
at least I read in the steinberg forum a few things about it.
Unfortunately you can't find much information about it because the current Cubase is still quite new.

If this Task Manager is from project from video... Well you have a lot processes that have graphics working, perhaps lively Wallpaper if that is Wallpaper program, then maybe Waves Head tracker is running i can see, and "Desktop Fenster Manager" is runing with 3d acceleration , mein is not so.... Get rid of all apps that have those thing while runung CUbase....

 

well no cracking problem, but the two first processes are using too much energy i think(?), and that might be a problem too

 

If its a DAW machine, then I'd advise that you disable all of the fancy graphics / 3D acceleration as they eat CPU and for music production you just do not need them.

Also go into Windows Performance Options > advanced tab..
Processor Scheduling >
Adjust for best performance of = Background services

Click apply then OK.

It may or may not cure your exact issue, but your machine will work as a DAW better.

 

I remember having this exact issue with Cubase 12 and I ended up getting frustrated and deleted it. Studio One is more stable tbh

 

BTW i had similar problem with Cubase 10.5 and Avenger vst. When I load Avenger my CPU and GPU goes high level for no reason. Just for one instance of plugin used about 4gb of ram, it was impossible to open vst GUI or even to play any sound... Crackling, lag, jerking etc... I was looking for solution for days even here, and my system was freshly installed.
But the problem was not in cracked Cubase or Avenger, the problem was in Acronis True Image who got all my processes from Avenger flagged as a potentially dangerous... So every instance of Avenger was scanned over and over every time it was launched by Acronis...
When I found about problem and uninstalled Acronic all my troubles have gone just like that...
So I advice you to get rid of any app that is not essential for optimal usage of OS and DAW.
Fancy wallpaper apps are big NO for a DAW PC, because even Cubase itself is so demanding last years...
So check that Waves installation if they are from R2R if, not get rid of them all.....
Turn off, that Wallpaper Fancy thing, because makes Windows Desktop Manager to use 3D acceleration, and that is demandind on CPU and GPU.
Check your antivirus if you have one, Get Kaspersky, all others are mediocre and bad.

Conclusion is that is not about Cubase itself, that is 100% for sure it is about your system and something that interfere with something. Check also Visual Studio Installations.
