damn havnt thought about that ...

well i am hoping Roland brings JP8000 Boutqiue VST. I would gladly take that.

i thought the same, the audio demo he did makes me not buying it.

In the new Demo the Synth still does not sound like an JP8000. its more like an Jupiter 8 emulation, but its missing all those fancy stuff from real big super saw to the important eq and chorus effects that makes the jp8k.

i keep my 50 bucks, sorry behringer

this was my thought as i listened to the demo video, which they took down. I mean SY1 and the other synths can do this so much better.

here is the new video, still sounds thin ...

I tried a couple of cheap "toy" synths (monotron, stylophone) and they were noisy shit.
You get what you pay for and I can afford more than $50 for a synth (not that I need anymore hardware synths:winker:).

the sound is a joke, a pure mockery to the sound of a real JP8080

i still stand by this, why not make it a proper JP clone for more $$$.

the demo on YT which was posted today is still laughable.
Haha i thought the same - man why ...

Yeah it doesn't sound bad but its not replacement for a JP-8000. For a start it doesn't have Feedback OSC. Which is always overlooked when it comes to emulating the JP-8000 (I think DIVA has it though) and they played little to no Supersaw sounds with it. Everything was generic 80's Synthwave sounds like their VS Demo. $80 bucks though for cheap Roland sounding Poly synth though. But yeah this one is weird its like they didn't know how to market it, its not a JP-8 and its not a JP-8000.:dunno:

EDIT: I heard through the Grapevine that Adam Szabo may be working on a full JP-8080 Emu VST.

i'm afraid they played the supersaw osc. the synth is just not capable of doing the supersaw we are used to from the real jp8000 :)
    it's literally snake oil.

I have no real interest in it, maybe as a studio decoration, but personally it sounds better than the JP to me. Maybe it's the analog filter, and or the 12-Bit DAC. (og is pure va, and 18-Bit DAC) I never liked the VA sound of the JP, nor the music it is often associated with.

Also it's not a clone, that should be obvious. it's an inspired by $79 micro synth that I don't know why anyone would take that serious.

It will be a lot of fun one day if someone make hardware like this and after some time and a lot of reviews that it have great analog sound it come up to be that inside is some raspberry pi with linux and all the sounds came from the vst plugin

I think they'll make cool gifts. When my niece was young she used to bring me "Homies" figurines when she visited and I would put them around my studio. Now that we're all older I wouldn't mind if my family stuffs my X-mas stockings with stuff like this. I can put them around the studio. Collect them all for the heck of it.:mates:
