Hartmann is an industrial designer by profession, he also made the GUI for the Waldorf Largo VSTi. The bankruptcy went like this: The hardware synth Neuron was made in China, but there was no final inspection of the product and also the knobs potis were probably very unstable, plastic, in any case the Americans ordered this synth and when they unpacked it the parts of the synth came towards them.

A trade magazine reported on this synth that the parts had fallen off etc., and that was the end of the company. Mr Hartmann was very depressed and it took him a few years to pay off his debts and come to terms with the failure.

Plug-in developers are clearly not running out of new and revolutionary ideas.

 

Speaking my own view point, any new plugs that come out over the last few years have just been rehashes of what has been done before, much like music and fashion.

Yeah developers put thier own spin on things but is never genuinely brand new never been done before.
At the end of the day an EQ is an EQ, a Compressor is a compressor and so on.

I'd rather that companies concentrate on improving what they already have, NOT complaining but take Fab Filter Pro Q3, its a brilliant EQ and my go to, there is not an awful lot that can be done to improve it as it can already do anything that other EQs can do sonically speaking.

 

With the invention of the Internet, everyone around the world could contribute their ideas.
Quickly the Internet filled up and actually we have everything we need.
Maybe a few solar cells to power the computer. What do you need more plugins for ?
