I agree, new tool =/= better music, it's about how good is your skill using your exist software/ plugins. 95% all of my sounds I all design in serum, spire, vital cause I am very familiar with it.

That's what I usually hate about Ableton users, a feature that should've come out ages ago finally gets implemented (comping, or auto save which was introduced in 2018 lmao) and everyone gets excited instead of face palming because their DAW is way too late to the game.

How "excited" were Logic users when their DAW finally could use PDC with no bugs?

 

FL Studio (Audio/Instrument tracks workflow):
1. Automate parameter (i.e. Automation clip is automatically grouped below playlist track)
2. Hide parameter (i.e. collapse group, containing that automation.)

Even automating from external hardware controllers will become more streamlined in v21, once the automatic 'Event automation to Automation clips' workflow (as demonstrated within the IL forum) is fully implemented (for those who don't like the current Pattern-based Event automation system).

 

I don't think that is very likely. IL have just this month started the public beta testing for v21. They have set out their intentions to release a few new features at a time within the betas, to iron out all the bugs and to tweak the features based upon user feedback.

The main new feature in the first public beta is the updated browser. Which, has quite a lot of tweaking and bugfixing to remedy before the next round of new features are added to the beta.

And given what has been hinted and alluded to regarding the amount and scale of features for v21, I wouldn't bet on an official release for several months at least.

I'm sure Image-Line probably has an ideal target date to work towards, but depending on how the beta phase goes, they could extend that date, or even decide to launch 21 and then later add more of the features to a 21.1, 21.2, etc. update.

But yeah, I think the release will be at the miminum take at least a few months.

I don't like FL Studio but it's cool how they're finally addressing some obvious issues (free of charge!)

 

How is that possible How can you click with right click in the external plugin and choose the parameter you can also do that with 3rd party plugins?

 

woah! nice! but, very late, I chose the Reaper!

 

should use those ones which support it (Fab, Brainworx, SPL etc.) so it's a VST feature but the support depends on the plugin developers, btw. the reverse way is also pretty useful, cloning already existing auto clips and assigning them to some plugin control

I would like to see Free Warp in the playlist as in Cubase 12

 

If they miss real MPE Support on Version 21 i will switch to Reaper or Cubase, because people asking about it sine 2019 in the Forum an FL is ignoring it. I'm in Support for IT also and this kind of customer satisfaction is very bad.

 

If that is a legit screenshot from FL21, then, well to my eyes that looks like a big mess...
Why they don't implement adding tracks as in Cubase or all other normally DAW, so if you want to add pattern track for Beat Sequencing, then do that in separate playlist track just as a VST! There must be just empty playlist, for better organization and all, otherwise it looks horrible!

I love FL Intuitive speed for Beat creation and scratch idea, but for complete production not...
Recording audio thru the mixer channel with Edison, then not doing MONO, asking everytime what should i record , that is hard on time and pro use, or I never didn't know to do that, but that is all lame...
Mixer is the worst part, event tho there are some good FX in there mixer is the biggest mess ever...
I don't like Mixer in Studio one also, but is way better than FL Studio and they improve nothing about that for years!
I hope some day they will introduce audio tracks manipulating like in other DAWs, this c/p shite, make unique is just simple crap if you ask me . And much more... I see this will be interesting

in the case mpe support is fully needed i use another daws and convert then. If not i use FL inside an other Daw as an plugin.
