I generally have very little issue with getting audio software up and running, but for some reason, EZdrummer is ironically not being totally EZ.

So 2.0.0 R2R installed, then 2.2.3 VR update installed...Inside the database folder in \ProgramData\Toontrack, VR added seemingly all the current MIDIdb's, but a grand total of zero show up in EZdrummer.

I was able to get a seperate EZX to install, after changing the installlog to minimum 2.0.0 and deleting the Superior Drummer lines...Why I had to do that, perhaps someone could also answer, but aside from that...

Are all the folders there just as placeholders and I would need to install something else, or am I not doing something I need to do to get them to show up? I tried Restore Factory MIDI Database from the menu dropdown. Tried adding the folders to USER MIDI. There is a midiDB file in each folder, so they aren't just empty folders. Hoping I'm just not doing something simple. Any insight would be great. Though after messing with the little bit is in the factory library, Im not sure the headache is going to totally be worth it.

    Thanks.

IIRC, you can't use the MIDI libraries the "normal" way in cracked EZdrummer (i.e using the Browser the normal way). All of the MIDI files should show up in the "My MIDI Files" folder however. I think this is because legit MIDI libraries are installed with a installer, and not just copying/pasting a folder full of MIDI files (like V.R have done). I haven't used EZdrummer for quite some time though, so I might be wrong.

The part about having to change the installog to run a EZX library I have no answer to. As long as your EZdrummer version supports the library there shouldn't be any problems running it.

You should not have to edit the log file. SD3 & EZD2 use the same 'Home' folder for MIDI files.

Recommend clean install of V.R. 2.2.3 version after uninstalling current EZD2 install. Make certain to remove all EZD2 entries from the registry if using Windows. Also hunt down any orphaned folders & files.

Ok, so I just went through and removed everything. Are you saying just install V.R 2.2.3 without installing R2R 2.0.0 first? VR version is just an update, so would I just install VR update and then manually place the library from R2R?

I love r2r but if you're gonna use less than legit for tt products just get the VR releases. You won't have any issues and it's usually less complicated.

Toontrack teaser on FB. Snare drum with three drum sticks on it... fairly clear what it means...

Certainly nothing on the TT website yet, but sounds interesting. I beta tested EZDrummer back in ye olde days... unfortunately neither R2R or VR seem very interested in keeping up with TT beyond the occasional random release.

Btw I can't help with op question; I never use canned MIDI.

Got it figured out. Appreciate any help. Already decided it's not really much use to me. Figured it could be a good scratch pad type of thing for quick ideas, but it's easier just to build a quick pattern with Speedrum. Does seem like it would be great to practice guitar with or something.
