I downloaded the R2R crack from the sister website and followed the team instructions about how to install the content, precisely:

If you have "Steinberg Library Manager (SLM)" installation,
    => Run SLM.
=> Drag & Drop included "Content" folder to SLM GUI.
    => Install all. Done!
If you dont have SLM, do manual installation.
=> Copy "Content" folder to "%PROGRAMDATA%\Steinberg\".

but you cant Drag & Drop anything in the Steinberg Library Manager GUI neither dumping the folders to the given directory works in any way.
If I try doubleclicking the files so opening them with SLM it returns that the VSTs are already registered, that is lame.
Since I'm tryna make it work with Dorico 4, I get the same error in there.
I'm wasting my nerves to the point I want to buy the real product. Real marketing here

    install in program data first
and open cubase and check if all working nice.
    close cubase
open steinberg library manager and select MOVE database to your fav. directory

Open Library Manager, unregister all of them and drag and drop again.

Hello, this problem is being triggered even by dorico because r2r installation is missing a lot of gigs of data and the fix is a little bit tricky.
To fix the error (only for halion, dorico has another process), you simply have to download the official halion sonic se 3 version from here: https://o.steinberg.net/index.php?id=downloads_halion_sonic_se_3&L=1. If you don't want to install it over r2r's version, you can follow this write-up:
    1. download universal extractor 2
    2. extract the halion installer data with ue2
    3. open "HALion_Sonic_SE_3.4.40_Installer_win\HALion Sonic SE 3.4.40\Additional Content\VST Sound", here you should find these folders:
    • HALion Resources
    • REVerence Content 01
    • VST Amp Rack Content
    • VST Bass Amp Content
Of all those folders, you have to copy only the source folder content and not the folder itself to "C:\ProgramData\Steinberg\Content\HALion\VST Sound".

With that done, the error should be fixed!

you mean there is another procedure?

    so those were the steps:
    - unistalled r2r HAlion
    - installed the official
    - unistalled the official but kept the content data
    - reinstalled r2r HAlion
    - the folders are already there, but can't find anything with Library Manager.

I do not have a single instrument yet in HAlion.
    Am I missing something?
Is there a SLM patched version I should use?

yes, it is a different procedure.

    Absolutely not.

If you feel at ease not doing so many steps, here's what you can do. Please let me know if it is exactly what you did.
    1. install official
    2. copy "C:\ProgramData\Steinberg\Content\HALion" into a different location for backup (or you can just rename to "HALion 2")
    3. uninstall official
    4. install r2r
    5. delete the "HAlion" folder creatd by r2r
    6. revert the backup

The folder is hidden. Have you tried this ?

If you dont have SLM, do manual installation.
=> Copy "Content" folder to "%PROGRAMDATA%\Steinberg\".

    Errors when moving sound libraries

That’s an OS level problem. Maybe the file’s corrupt, incomplete, or there’s a disk error of some kind (less likely)

If you want to unregister some components just click remove and choose unregister.
    stlib1.jpg

If you want to unregister all of them and lazy to do it one by one, just move your lib files to somewhere else (ex. different drive). Lib Manager will not found the files and ask you to unregister those components.

yes I have show hidden folders enabled, also even if not copy paste the directory is enough.
anyway is not about moving libraries but about having them at all.
here is my view of SLM with all the content data in the right path.
    Screenshot (8).png
and also if try to select the right path it finds no libraries...

if I double click on the VST file and load it with STM I get this:

    Steinberg Library Manager

I have decided to do it without Library Manager, it seems more trouble than it's worth. It reported duplicates, so I used LM to delete the duplicates, which it did, it removed the lot! Luckily I had made backups anyway.

So I too am doing the job manually, but I feel the Steinberg setup is a bit of a mess, especially the Halion and Groove Agent libraries .
I cannot understand why Halion and GA have libraries in both the c:/Users/<the user>/AppData/Roaming/Steinberg/Content/Groove Agent|HALion|VST Sound/ folders and also the c:/ProgramData/Steinberg/Content/Groove Agent|HALion|VST Sound folders, it doesn't make sense, why is content spread over 2 locations

I can only assume that a product family, for example Halion6, Halion Sonic, Halion SonicSE all share some content and some content is specific to a single product, eg Halion6 will have more content than its underlings. So the difficulty is how do I replicate that structure on my data drive.
I guess I simply copy across the whole structure folder from c: to d:<data> but shorten the file path eg d:/Libraries/Roaming/Steinberg/Content/Groove Agent|HALion|VST Sound/ and d:/Libraries/Steinberg/Content/Groove but I have read on the internet things can get messy when doing updates as the Steinberg installer can't deal with stuff be register in other than the default locations, though again I guiess that's just a copy and paste issue, and then register the new content in its new location

I too feel I would benefit from reinstalling everything to a freshly formatted drive, the thought of taking my original WIn10 ISO to the latest update and all the trouble updates caused is not something I relish, nor is re-installing NI Komplete :-(

    Best Answer
    Download
    • Open the Steinberg Download Assistant.
    • Make sure the download path defined in the "Target folder:" field at the top of the right column is correct. It is recommended to store the downloads at a location where you want the VST Sound and Loop Sets to be placed permanently. Remember that moving the downloaded components later takes additional time.
    • Once the download path is set, click on the categorie "Sounds & Loops" on the left.
    • Select the VST Sound and Loop Set you want to download and install.
    • To start the download, click on 'Download' in the corresponding entry on the right.
    • A progress bar provides you with information on the running downloads.
    • Please note that VST Sound and Loop Sets can be huge. Depending on your internet connection and the size of the set, the downloads can take a considerable amount of time.

ok fixed the main drive but didn't help with the Resolve Warnings [IMG]

What did help was downloadig some random HAlion content with Steinberg Download Assistant and only then I could install it in SLM through SDA. WTF? Was it so easy from the beginning?
I mean.. I will try downloading the 10Gb dorico pro content but isn't there any problem with licences or something?
