I am a legit Cubase 9 user, and I always set my new project path option to 'Use default location'.
When I click 'Create Empty' button, a new project opens and a new project folder is created too in the path I set.
And if I close the project without saving, the folder is also deleted automatically.

These days I'm trying Cubase 12 released by several crack groups, but unlike my legit Cubase 9, the project folders still remains after I close the projects unsaved.
Is this an bug? a bug of version 12? or a bug of the crack?
Otherwise is it just a intended change for Cubase 12?

What do you think?

 

I'm answering myself.

I've been googling the internet and found a post saying this bug first showed up from Cubase version 9.5.

That seems why I haven't experienced this issue while using Cubase 9.

I still can see this problem in Cubase 12, so I could presume 9.5, 10, 10.5 and 11 versions have the same issue too.

I have no idea why this issue continues, althrough there has been many major updates.

Anyway I heard Steinberg knows this issue, so maybe we can hope there comes a fix for this someday.

Known/Reported bugs usually do not last 3 full software versions of anything, before being fixed. That's a long time, for any program.

Did they add something in the 9.5. update which "broke" this? Maybe you should check that changelog. Did they add any features like "auto-recording" or something to do with Undo Level count? Where it "Remembers to record even if you forget to press Record on transport" types of stuff...

Emailing companies tech support about cracked software is a funny idea. I bet they get a decent amount of this
