im starting a new project which will be published on youtube, where i will post silent short films with completely new made soundtracks. the internet is full of silent short films, from the beginning of filmmaking till this day. from old licencefree classics to contemporary new projects, often realized by students or private film enthusiasts.

therefor i invite you all to participate on this project!
just take a silent short film of your choice (max.10min.) and make a soundtrack of your choice. no rules. from classic pianomusic and scores to modern, even extreme musicstyles and experimental. just feel free and let your creativity flow!

This is a non-profit project in cooperation with students of the Vienna Filmakademie and the University of applied Arts!

where are the shorts films located ?
can you create a playlist of them ?
( it basically takes 5 minutes, you create a "shortfilms" playlist and you add them via the creator studio )
I might jump in just for the fun of it, not sure, but it sounds cool

There is no special selection, just search the internet or make your own little silent short film

How exactly does this project work though? Is there a deadline, delivery format, stuff like that?

 

I've thought about trying this very thing in the past, I've just never had the time... curious to see what results.

I would probably have a go at a clip from Haxan.

 

This is my project for the shortynale filmfestival, where i support young filmmakers submitting there work. In this context there is a deadline only for them. https://shortynale.at/
But in general it is an open project, starting with a youtubechannel and we will see how it will evolve
