i mean audioutopia's was team air type of shit... but it might be possible that there can be a possibility, thanks to the version R2R gave us, maybe we just have to wait (probably has more shit going on that the one mentioned)

While I'm fine with Cubase, I see Pro Tools can complement Cubase, because you know, Avid Pro Multiband Dynamics and so on.

 

Yeah that release didn't make sense. To me it felt like they had a plan to release the full version later, with the First version as a teaser, but then they must have changed their mind because of some reason nobody knows.
Even if Avid changed the protection they still have the versions from mid 2021 and could release those if they wanted I guess.

 

Yes I remember well. The sensational own goal of R2R. They simultaneously release nothing of Pro Tools (trolling us all), eliminated PT First from legit users, made PT even more protected with scary protections. All this mess without releasing anything.

But needed additional license for use it - Pro Tools Prerelease (and Pro Tools license)

Well, with new protection in place, I seriously doubt we will see a new release anytime soon, maybe never, it seems R2R just gave up on it, or as previously mentioned sold out to Avid......oh well

I honestly don't think R2R's choice has anything to do with Avid. The reasons are known only by R2R, and they can be many: personally I think they tried, without success, and considering how it ended with the Liquidsonics debacle, they realized that it was better not to release anything to avoid a fool.
PT is too hard for anyone, even if your name is R2R. Luckily we had the great geniuses of AudioUTOPiA, unsurpassed in their mastery.
