most likely an advert causing the problem, if using firefox install adblock plus

or go here and download latest version if you allow java to run on your system

    http://www.filehippo.com/search?q=java

have you sent Saint a pm from your Audioz account, reporting this issue?

Probably an advert, god I fucking hate those scumbags. :bleh:

I'll report it to SAiNT because we like to keep the site clean of nonsense like that. In the meantime keep in mind that Google is unnecessary, if you get a message that Flash or Java is outdated it's ALWAYS some idiots involved that are trying to lure you into clicking the update button. Social engineering at its finest. Adblock Plus is a solution though obviously we would like people to support the site by not utilizing it so we can get some advertising revenue. That being said we do understand that safety comes first and I can understand how annoying these things can be. *yes*

First of all, thank you for writing about your problem.

    1. I could really use a screenshot of what you seeing.
    2. You don't need to download any Java crap, all you need to browse AudioZ (as well as any other web-sites) is for JavaScript to be enabled in your browser (and it is by default)
    3. If it's really an AD, i'm obviously unaware of it and i need that screenshot to report it to the ad-company, so they would remove it.

please send it to me asap

Aren't the ads needed to pay for maintenance costs and domain registration? If so, I'd suggest adblock as a temporary solution while this java issue gets sorted out.

It got so bad that I blocked most of the page from loading.. annoying audio would play too when I'd visit audioz.

I take it the host is forcing the bad ads into the site?

It's certainly not us. These lowlifes have nothing better to do than try to get their crap wherever they can fit it.

I just thought I would pop up (haha) and let you know that I've been having the very same problem. First it was 'Java update needed' messages hijacking the page and now I've got 'flash update needed' messages doing the same thing. Thought you might want to know that it isn't an isolated incidence.

    yours sincerely,
    noob member :)

Welcome to the forums. Please take pictures of annoying ads that haven't been reported so we can get them removed.

JAVAEVD dot COM seems to be the root of this EVIL !

UPDATE: I just created this simple batch file to REMOVE THE EVIL JAVA CRAP POPUP from this website for ALL browsers on a MS Windows machine.

    Anyone can use it simply:

    1. download it on a Windows machine...
    2. uncompress the file and RIGHT click to select RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
    3. Reboot and the bad popup is gone forever

NOTE: To adobe users and who else... DO not use this if you have modified your host file for other software in the past.
However your OLD file is saved... in case you need to revert back to it

    Usually Found in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
then rename HOSTS.OLD to "HOSTS" with no extension after the period to get your previous file back

FIXER FILE <--- click there to download

someone care to modify this batch file to append a users existing host file - this one simply rewrites the old one...

For the record, I'm using Google Chrome and it makes no dif. :(

    Hi Saint,

enabling Javascript means allowing exactly such spam. You won't get it with Javascript disabled. It's a Javascript function that will load the spam, but it's also Javascript that the audioz site unfortunately needs for navigation and heavy ad infusion ;-) So what I do is enable Javascript only for navigation, then disable it. Annoying, really.
I wouldn't mind ad images, including animated GIF banners, but Javascript and Flash damage has imho got out of control. And they can eat up RAM like crazy, too, sometimes crashing the browser, especially Firefox.
Oh how I would love to be able to at least navigate audioz without Javascript enabled...

Easy: Write a batch file that simply appends text to the hosts file:
echo "the line to add to hosts file" >> hosts

A newline can be appended using:
    echo. >> hosts

Mind the two(!) redirection arrows to append, not overwrite the file.
Also mind the dot directly after the echo, without spaces.
Of course it's always a good idea to back up the hosts file anyway.

You might have to give this script superuser permissions.

Should work under OSX as well, except you don't need the dot after the echo command to print a newline.
