simple question, but I have little to no experience with samples, so better ask friends here :)

in this live video, I'm pretty sure the snare is sample(d), any tip for where to get such sound, or howto mix it myself?

If you have a good snare and a good drummer you can easily get this snare sound by mic'ing both the top and bottom of the snare (and invert the polarity of either the top or the bottom, so that it lines up with the overheads as much as possible). You then treat the snare with EQ (fundamental/body around 200, dip some boxiness at 400, up the crack at around 1k and up the smack/attack at 3-5k, etc). You can compress with some slower attack (to get the transient through) and adjust release to taste. You can also add a tape plugin to tame the transient a bit and add some saturation. Then you have room mics that you can bring/blend in to make it "louder", or psychoacoustically make us humans interpret it as "louder".
That would be a good starting point.

    Annoying music.
Seeing this video I am happy that in the last 2 years live music has been stopped completely. This virus, after all, also had a positive side

actually I happen to be a drummer,
that's a great guideline you provided, I'll try it next time in mixing,

for reference, here's what I played and mixed (big helper for me really is free Wavesfactory Snarebuzz, as I don't like what my bottom snare mic does, and so I usually don't even use it):

any thoughts on what should I particularly focus on (aside from drumming technique I'm constantly trying to improve)?

This is a pretty basic acoustic snare sound. Grab an picolo snare sound, throw an 1176 on in and slam it to get the short aggresive smack and the sizzle. Add a NEVE 1073 EQ (sure shot for snares), low cut at 80, Boost or cut at 220 depending on the body you want to have, boost 3,2 or 7,2 khz. Done.

As someone who produces hip hop and layers snares I often have to giggle about nowadays livedrums sounds, since they suck ass for the most part and are pretty generic compared to the incredible drum sounds of the late 60s and the whole 70s.

If you like that sound I would encourage you to check out these two songs- 1. Loathe - Two Way Mirror (Anything from that album is my pick for reference because my favorite mix engineer George Lever mixed those), 2. Thornhill - Casanova (Again, George's magic). I love those snare tones. If you are into those '2000s' snare tone then I would recommend two sample pack- 1. Drumforge DrumShotz Mike Plotnikoff Hatch Inagaki Joe Rickard (I personally use Hatch's snare tone all the time), 2. Drumforge Drumshotz George Lever (You can't go wrong with this sample pack). Or if you want to mix like that tone I would be happy to share the chain or the EQ moves I make.
