Maybe you don’t need realistic piano sounds. Perhaps the piano you desire is one that’s more textural or mysterious — in which case Electronik’s free offering, Atmos 2, will definitely appeal to you. Fans of dark, “cinematic” piano will find much to love in this free plugin.

The defining feature of this instrument is an atmospheric pad that can be blended with the main piano signal to create an underlying drone. You can leave it quiet for a subtle effect, or crank the Atmo Lvl knob to let the ambient layer take over. The built-in LFOs allow for some warped and woozy pitch modulation, giving your entire sound an organic uneasiness. Atmos 2 is a free piano VST, but it’s a special one that must be played to be believed.

Piano V is a physically modeled instrument and does not, as is usually the case in this area of acoustic pianos, work with samples of real recorded tinkling boxes. This has the advantage that the instrument's properties can be adjusted within a wider range and the disadvantage that the mathematical model of a piano, with which the sound is generated, must first be refined to such an extent that it sounds like a piano and this as realistically as the programmers can manage.

I really like Arturia Piano for making crappy pianos with lots of character. Weird tinny uprights and stuff. Legit pianos, not so much. If this thread was actually about women AP would be a 85 pound goth girl with track marks that you're kind of afraid may stab you in the middle of sex but she's so weirdly hot you sleep with her anyway.

All good, yes but the OP was asking for VSTI´s not Kontakt, UVI or Aria libraries. Can´t you read?
