It's not really true. In C12 some VSTs from previous version (11 and back) are removed, so projects made with v10 cant be open in v12 because Mystic or Spector are not available anymore in V12.

 

Of course, but that is the whole point, if something is missing in a newer version open it in an older. But if you own a cubase with mystic etc, they can be added to C12, by adding synthengine.vst3 from that version to the C12 vst3 folder. They will then be there again, but without presets, but projects will load that use them with the correct sound. User presets are available!

 

That is exactly my observation. Cubase has not crashed for years by itself.
When it does, plugins crash and take Cubase down with them because the host shares the fate of the DLLs (plugins).
I'm not saying it's because of cracked plugins, but because of poorly programmed plugins. Cracked or not.

The two Cubase cracks VR / TC seem to me to be as stable as the legitimate version, very good.

 

Well, that is obviously true, badly coded plugins causing crashes, but there are legit C12 users who have stable C11 and crashing C12. Mine are both stable at least for these few days, C11 was fully stable.

 

I remember only one crash in C12 and that was a plugin that went unresponsive (with creeping mousemovements) first and than crashed and took Cubase with it to hell

Programming a rocksolid plugin is not that easy and needs a high amount of dscipline by the programmer.
But what do I expect: A lot if not most plugin vendors are not even disciplined enough to use the well defined places where VST plugins (VST2 defined path in registry, VST3 fixed path defined by Steinberg) have to be placed on the system.
When they don't care about that, why should they care about other conventions like e.g. Memory cleanup, Memory leaks and pointer crashes...?

No question. V.R's, and look at all the licenses you get in addition to the release! Their crack also doesn't touch the Cubase 12 Pro exe.
