hey guys i just have a quick question i have a kontakt library that has specific tunings C G C
C# G# C# - D A D - D# A# D# then the last one is C F C
i'm gonna guess that the C G C is Chromatic? and the other ones are ethnic scales? i just wanna make sure i know what i'm playing is actually the note i'm hitting

 

-in the doubt use a tuner as plug in. did u try that?

-thers some autopitchers out there... but if its in kontakt maybe theres a way that i dont know how, to change the pitch...

 

It's in the native instruments East ethnic expansion you can select different scales in the interface

 

hmm.. i guess im not get u... what did u want exactly? knowing how many steps are from one to the next one? that why u r question about chromatic? sorry !! my bad of course but i dont get u !!

 

You may be confusing "tuning" with "scales". If it is really a tuning setting (i'm guessing it's a shamisen?), then no, that doesn't make them chromatic, ethnic or anything. the "distance" between the notes you play will do that, not the notes themselves.

Aparently those are just standard tunings, you may get some tonal differences and the upper and lower note limit will change, but other than that, it shouldn't really affect the "scale" you're playing in keyboard-wise.
