edit: Unfortunatley that didn't work...After replacing the presets folder all I got was 155 pages of 'Volumeshaper Init' presets

Never mind..I'll just have to make my own presets if I need any more. Thanks anyway.

Could try deleting the database file in that folder, see if it rebuilds it?

 

That’s the first thing I did…no joy!

 

The only other thing I can think of trying is going back to when you said you tried to sync. Maybe install another daw (something quick and light like Reaper) and try to sync it inside of Reaper, see if it'll connect online then. Other than that, I'm stuck for ideas

 

I just pressed Sync -- also for science. Not only did I not get any new presets, it deleted all of my old ones.

Had to do a complete undelete and reinstall to get my original 35 pages back. I think I'll give the user add-ons a miss.

Same thing happen to me, so I just bought it when it was on sale because when I did sync it took away all my presets. I panicked and bought it.

 

Hey halfman, been having the same sort of issue on my end. I reinstalled windows and didn't think to backup my presets folder, when i open shaperbox 2 and press sync it tells me i need a newer version of shaperbox 2. Could you possibly provide me with the preset folder with all 155 pages? Would greatly appreciate it, thanks! I am using version 2.1 of shaperbox by the way.

 

sorry to necro this thread, but i had the same thing happen to me and its got my whole workflow messed up. i'm lucky enough that saved project files have the presets saved but there are so many projects i have where i'd much rather use the shaperbox 2 expansive preset database instead of the new overproduced things included with shaperbox 3. if anybody could help me out I would be so so thankful

hey all facing the preset issue. a quick fix is if you previously had all of the user-presets as well as the original 35 pages and DIDN'T tamper with any of the files, you should be able to use Shaperbox 3 with the setting "use legacy presets" to have them listed again without using Shaperbox 2.
I can't figure out a way to make Shaperbox 2 rebuild its database with the library files, but Shaperbox 3 does with no issues. PM me if you need the user-presets and factory presets file to regain all of those tasty presets from shaperbox 1 & 2
