I'm trying D&B for the first time, but I think I'm totally wrong about the LOL genre.
Ignore the mix, I haven't worked on it yet

Its really not bad for a first try! The second half reminds me of some of my favorite stuff if you were to give it some serious polish. That being said mixing is everything in DnB. Here's a few tips:

On my Bass & Synth Bus I like to use Duck to sidechain the Kick and Trackspacer for the Snare (but really any compressor will do the trick when you isolate the correct bands). Try using different send effects on your Drum processing. Learn how to Isolate transients of your kick and snare and use parallel compression to mix those things in. Most of all, get really comfortable using a compressor and an EQ. Lots of the pros don't have anything but a limiter on the Master Bus and do most of their processing before it reaches that stage.

    Keep at it =)

there was a tutorial video posted recently, maybe 2 months ago. It is a track breakdown with Reso. He does a good job of covering some of the basics, but a little more in-depth than I am used to seeing in tutorials. Many videos dwell on the basics or skip too much; this one is pretty good about it. Some of the better content is using Phase Plant from Kilohearts. I use that synth regularly anyway so I watched it. Otherwise I would have probably skipped through that, because it did seem to run long. anyway, worth a watch.

So, since you did not work on the mix yet; which parts did you work on?

Just for clarity, cut off all the subs from that bass and replace it with a sine sub. This one is too muddy in the lows.
Other than that, it's a legit idea IMO. Just needs finishing and then technical work.
